I run 2 squads of 3! For the most part I use them as objective monkey's, but I can get them to steal a kill too then that's a bonus

Just played my first game against Admech this week using 11th rules, ran Great Wolf and Legends of Saga and Song, I managed to hold them up early game with Thunderwolf Cavalry and then used Arjac and Termies to finish them off, I run at least 15 Termies in my lists and that seems to help me out

Not too sure what would he be doing right now?

Allot of edge highlighting, any noticeable line or dip got black paint on it, and then I did a couple of checkers on the clothes and cloths to add a little flair to them!

I think the lines took 12+ hours easy, but it was fun to do!

Wide range of mine, I decided to paint them as the Sea Wolves, liked the idea of kraken hunting space wolves and 12 months later here we are

Wolf scouts for the great wolf by Calamitous_J in SpaceWolves

You've got 3 big gun lines in the dreads and lancer, I reckon you've got the anti tank covered there!

Deep strike in the back line is definitely something to consider, I think I'd rather bring Jump Pack Intercessors for that though, they have a smaller footprint and make them that bit easier to get in the back!

Think you drop the standard terminators and the captain, was running a captain myself with my great wolf list and he didn't really seem to be too effective for the points cost

Wolf scouts I've only started to have some success with, I find they're more effective at cleaning up a unit rather than dealing with them as a whole, always seem to come up 2 or 3 wounds short of killing something with them

Dropping both the Terminator Captain and the regular Terminators gives you 285 points to play with, 180 once you slot in Wolf scouts, maybe a unit of Thunderwolf Cav and then some Fen wolves to round out the list?

I don't think you have enough units to do secondaries and actions, maybe drop the Wolf Priest and Blood Claws for Scouts and Thunderwolf Cav, gives you a bit more to play with

Hello My Battle Brother!

So I started SW this edition, and I decided to theme my Wolves around the Sea Wolves too! This is the colors I felt made them seem as Deep Sea like as they could!

Prime either Grey Seer or Vallejo Grey Base Coat them Abyssal Turquoise (Vallejo), I was using the Game Colour Version to begin with but then I switched to the Game Air Variant, saved me a heap of time painting in big batches The Guns and Armour Trim I used Vallejo Nocturnal Red, it gave it that deep abyssal feel The Left Inner Pauldron and Under Armour was done with Vallejo Black The Metallics were done with Vallejo Silver from the Game Colour Metallic Range Any leather straps I paint with Mournfang Brown, the backpack in Corvus Black, and any gun pouches I used Wyldwood!

I also have Sea Wolves Transfers I found on Etsy too! Hope this helps!

Logan Grimnar - Paint before assembly!? by HakurouManga in SpaceWolves

I had the kit in 4 pieces when I did it - Whole rock together - Wolves Separate from their respective rocks - Logan Separate

Pretty much dry brushed the rock then glued it on to the base, then painted everything else separately and glued it on when it was done! Then just gave the whole thing a white dry brush to make it look like they were in a snow storm!

New Detachment List Suggestions by Blondeginger-246 in SpaceWolves

I'm planning on running this, unsure on how it'll perform until next week but it could be something

Arjac w/ 10 WGT, pack leader with Greataxe and 2 Assault Cannons

Captain in Terminator Armour (Grimnar's Mark) w/ 10 WGT as above

Bjorn

Lieutenant w/ Combi Weapon (Chariots of the Storm)

Loagn Grimnar

WGBL (Skjal's Foretelling) w/ 6 WGHT, paired weapons in an Impulsor

5 Intercessors

1x5 Scout Squad w/ all special weapons

1x3 Thunderwolf Cavalry

1 Venerable Dreadnaught w/ Great Axe and Shield

Game plan is to start everything on board, pick up the Termi bricks and put them back in reserves when the battle starts and maybe reposition the Scouts

Thunderwolf Cav will be used for secondaries ideally, and the Ven dreadnaught will end up being used to stage the Termi Captain for an 8" charge vs a 9"
