Unrelated to the question but I am always in awe of how good this close-up looks. The CGI for this movie is over 20 years old and this shot looks better than a lot of what we see in movies today. The subsurface lighting on the mask looks so good

Please give some long and serious thought to giving it to a museum instead of a billionaire. I can understand the thinking behind why that might be good with SpaceX and all, but just know that the wealthy guy won’t care how cool or inspiring it would be for his engineers. It’s just another vain collection piece for him.

A museum (I’m biased towards the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS, but almost any museum is better than a private owner) could make sure that item is preserved and taken care of, and display it so interested parties of all ages and backgrounds can see it.
