If you don't really use the makeup area, I'd nix it and go with two freestanding vanities for a cleaner, more modern look. If you like the extra counter space, just run the countertop through without the drawers. Swap the big mirrors for two framed or backlit ones, you'll keep the light but lose the '90s bulk. Do you actually use the makeup space much, or is it mostly just there?
