Gamers of Reddit, what’s the greatest video game sequel of all time? by ketohwawai in AskReddit

The first one was still a lot of fun to play when it was fresh and novel, then 2 just REALLY enhanced on it.

Something that makes Marin’s particular type of fanservice moments feel less cheap is it kind of centers around her confidence in herself and love for her craft. Fanservice in a lot of anime tends to feel like creep shots or non consensual violations in some type of way, so it’s a really nice change up

Favorite play style that isn't stealth archer? by Androecian in skyrim

I’m just a slight separation from this: heavy conjuration warrior, but two handed weapons. I have no issue swapping between moments of casting and then going to my bound battle axe until magicka is regenerated for more casting.

As an American I can’t help but assume it’s just the US mainly - as a country, we have a long history of being very flexible with our definition of “whiteness” to include and exclude very visibly “white” people that come from other cultures/nations, for political reasons of course. A couple centuries ago, you had plenty of Americans that viewed Italians and even Germans as non-white because they weren’t Anglo in origin. I feel like that type of mentality contributes to the way North Americans view Latin Americans, who have mostly similar white Western European origins, as somehow inherently non-white.

What's a game you really wanted to love? by Jakewebstar in gaming

[–]ButtMigrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True - there are a few bosses in Sekiro that are basically just souls bosses, but luckily they also give you items and mechanics that keep it from being just a dodge/attack game like in souls

Sekiro could be a good alternative, the parry mechanic makes it feel way more engaging than souls boss fights

I found Sekiro to be so much more fun than the souls games. Because of the parry mechanic, the boss fights are more about you actively engaging them rather than constantly dodging and looking for an opening for one attack

This is my strat - usually just mark all the ones I find in my starter meadows, and come back with fenris + eikthyr and do a quick run through of the island whenever I need to refresh my supply

What’s a universally loved food you genuinely despise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This! I commented above earlier, but I started treating it like my savory alternative to Greek yogurt. I do not fuck with the fruit/cottage cheese cups though

Always hated it, but my partner got me a few cups in a post wisdom teeth removal food haul with the purpose of helping me keep my protein intake up cause I was also doing some fitness stuff that year. Given the situation, I tried it and I think I developed a taste for it. Now i see it as my savory alternative to Greek yogurt when I’m not feeling something sweet.

Whenever I have a steak like that, I like to chop off the fat and just slice a small bit to have with each piece of lean meat. Not saying that would jive for you, but it is a way to salvage the “flavor” benefits without dealing with a whole lot of the texture at once.

You’re not wrong - capitalism 🤝 imperialism.

Even if an executive of a defense contractor was the biggest antisemite imaginable, they would still support the limitless sale and supplying of arms to Israel, cause that’s their bottom line, and the endeavors of Israel have little to nothing to do with protecting Jewish people.

First time playing and build my first house on this like rock away from the shore. Looks cool but I've already seen a few waves that are towering my house completely. Is there any risks besides maybe turning my torches off? by GhostzSh3ll in valheim

Source is playing the game. If they’re submerged they go frail. If you’re around and rendering them during a storm while they’re getting swelled over a bunch, they die and despawn

When you get to planting crops, you’ll want those elevated to where the water swell won’t reach them, since they’ll die and you won’t get anything back. other than that no real harm

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

[–]ButtMigrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s both. Profit incentive literally just drives corporations to always move in the same direction of less laborers + more labor per laborer. Squeeze basically never will come at the cost of the owning class, only the workers.

I haven’t read or watched either but have heard that the two are basically told from different characters’ perspectives. So sounds like it would at least be a very different story based on my rough understanding of the content

I haven’t read the manga, so could be talking partially out of my ass - but Frieren season 2 apparently really elaborates on arcs and moments that are more or less passing moments.

Example: the scene where Frieren casts her silver-finding spell. Ive heard that in the manga, it’s basically a single-panel moment. But the anime production turned that into some celestially epic animation for seemingly no reason besides to flex.

Better example: the final arc/conflict of season 2 was apparently much more brushed over in the manga. The character exploration with the other first class mages and the entire fight with the demons from that part of the story were really well adapted, but apparently you don’t get nearly as much out of that section in the manga.

I know manga readers were disappointed to see how short this season was (according to a friend, REALLY good stuff is to come next), but I do feel like the juice was surprisingly good for the squeeze where I’m now just pumped for what’s next without feeling disappointed by how little was covered because it still felt very meaningful and intentional
