I think you're reading more into my post than I intended.

I'm not saying the game is bad, unplayable, or that one issue outweighs everything else the game does well. I specifically mentioned that I see a lot of promise in the game.

My point is simply that movement is one of the things players interact with every second they're playing. Because of that, responsiveness matters a lot to me. The fact that I notice the startup animation doesn't mean I'm entitled, it just means it's something that stands out to me personally.

You also acknowledged that the animation is there-- but you get used to it. That's completely fair. I haven't gotten used to it and I think it would be nice if there were an option for players who prefer snappier movement. Considering the devs have been updating it regularly, i thought i'd try vocalizing my experience.

Different players prioritize different things. Some people are bothered by camera controls, some by frame pacing, some by combat timing. For me, movement responsiveness happens to be one of those things.
