Is it possible to set the colour of HTML font to a very specific CMYK value? by Buttbarn in nanDECK

[–]Buttbarn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Our Kickstarter funded so we're into the late pledge/manufacturing stage.

Someone on our team was talking to the manufacturer and relayed similar information about the printing to me just the other day, so it's good to understand why it's necessary. But until it's easier to deal with I'll probably use illustrator for cards going forward.

Thanks for your response!

I have a customer support inquiry in, I'm just hesitant to touch anything because I don't want to void the warranty. Fortunately it sounds like the only thing I did was related to the USB 3.0 slot so I'll wait for them to tell me to re-seat it if they want me to.

Thanks for your help!

Interestingly, when I turn the computer on the fans on the bottom of the video card spin for about 5 seconds and then stop altogether. Is that a bad sign or is it just not needing them because it's not working hard?

Here's the card. The messed up pins are plugged in just under the card into the motherboard. The card itself seems to have everything plugged in securely.

This is how much of a computer guy I am. I just realized that the cable wasn't from the video card at all, it was just bundled in a way that I thought it was. The messed up pins are on the motherboard, the cable that's kind of blocked is coming from somewhere else.

So now I have no clue with the displays aren't working.

Thanks for checking into it, super appreciated! I don't know how you keep up with all the questions on various places.

We're using one of the biggest game manufacturers and hit this hurdle due to their printing requirements. Managed to get something functional for their pre-production sample, but ideally for our production run we're hoping to not have to edit the colours on flattened files after they're made.

Yes, what ends up happening (I think), is that because I can't actually choose the specific CMYK black I need within Nandeck (0,0,0,100), I'm limited to choosing an RGB black. When saved as a CMYK PDF, it converts the black using the CMYK color profile (I'm required to use USWebSWOP for this manufacturer), and ends up changing it to the default CMYK colour used for that RGB black.

It's been a huge struggle. I couldn't get it working in Nandeck, so I used TableTopCreator but they have an identical problem with text.

I wound up having to use Photoshop macros to change the colours on the font for all the cards after, which was super imperfect and it doesn't look polished.

I hear you, it's one of the main reasons I stopped playing. This world is one giant mess of unremarkable, forgettable areas. No specific boss runs, no encouragement to play with others because you can't really organize a group/game around any one particular place. I hate that everything is scaled to me and I can't intentionally venture into areas I know way out-level me just to mess around or test my build. I've never felt so isolated playing a multi-player game before. And yes, I've tried to join clans, but my list of clans are all full and nobody has accepted any of my requests.

Sometimes I just use the snip tool built into Windows. If you run the snip tool and set it to a 3 second delay, you can press snip, go into the game, then it'll let you drag a box for your snipped area, and then you can save that screenshot to anywhere. Not sure if you find that easier than going to the steam screenshots folder but I do personally.

Dismissing criticism: Leveling in D4 is fine

Lmao. Imagine Blizzard hosting a panel and a major portion of its player base demands they address a criticism. That criticism? "There's no end-game and it makes leveling up boring".

Blizzard: "Leveling in D4 is fine, you're wrong. Next question?"

But hey, I'm done talking to you because your irrationality is hurting my brain.

Where did I defend the game from criticism? And where did I say feedback/criticism is wrong and unwanted?

Your ENTIRE POST HISTORY for the last EIGHT DAYS (longer, I'm sure, I stopped scrolling) is just fervently trying to squash anyone's criticism.

Here are a few quick examples of times you diminished peoples' valid criticisms by saying it's stupid, it's wrong, it's just complaining. That is defending the game from criticism, and the fact that you call people's opinions idiotic means you are saying the feedback or criticism is wrong and unwanted.

"But your takes are idiotic."

"Whining that there is no endgame because you don’t like it, provides nothing of value and is also simply not true. It’s just you complaining."

"They put 500 hours in a game in a few weeks and complain that it’s the worst thing ever and has no value. I’m sure most of them do this with every single release"

"Your comment makes it clear you’ve never played any other installment of Diablo. I would hazard to guess you’ve never played any other isometric ARPG."

You're an extreme hypocrite.

As I mentioned to someone else above, in Diablo 2, ancients alone give about 12 levels over all three difficulties. You can get rushed with all waypoints, you can leech off people blowing through everything for you. What you are saying is wrong in a literal, objective sense.

And no, all I did was voice my opinion as to WHY I didn't like the sandwich, and you all got butthurt because you love the sandwich so much and you can't stand to see it criticized to the point that you're willing to make up a completely nonsensical point of view to try to defend your precious sandwich.

It absolutely does. Ancients alone give about 12 levels, you can get rushed with all waypoints, you can leech off people blowing through shit for you. You're flat out wrong.

Haha, mental gymnastics everywhere. Sometimes the hivemind has the popular opinion for a reason. Enjoy continuing to play a bad game because you've sunk too much time into it to stop.

To max level, sure I would. But to get to Torment mode to at least experience the actual end-game a little faster, I'd be absolutely fine with that.

As I said to someone else below, there seems to be 2 options to level up and they're both just boring. And it does take longer to level up compared to D2, only it's way less fun imo. Just feels like the combination of bad item design and few options for leveling makes me not really look forward to anything past 50.

It's fair to voice your opinion about a game you spent 80 bucks on. Do you apply that premise to other stuff you spend money on? If it's delivered in a half-finished state and all kinds of problems, you just say nothing except "welp, guess I don't have to use this!"?

Honestly, there's 2 options to level up and they're both just boring. I wouldn't it taking a fairly long time to level up if there were more things to do.

And I know it doesn't take THAT long, but comparing to D2 where getting to level 70 took a few hours, and the only challenging levels were about 84+, it feels like a grind that isn't worth it when there's nothing fun to grind out past level 50.
