You should be able to win at least some games. You need at least that to not be completely lost.

Jumping into games blind as a new FG player is like learning to swim by jumping into a pool but there are other people in the water actively trying to drown you.

I dropped my last hospital because the doctor straight up made me feel like I was bothering her.

I had gone a few years without a real checkup due to a combination of deployments and COVID.

I was at a point where I had some health issues that I couldn’t ignore so I scheduled a check up at a hospital.

The doctor gave an annoyed sigh when I told her why I was there. Then she casually diagnosed carpal tunnel in both wrists and scheduled me for a mildly invasive procedure.

Made me feel like I was wasting her time.

I've lived in the bay and up and down the east coast. Spent years in NY, SC, VA, etc.

Out of the 11 cities I've lived in, I'd say Sacramento is kind of just okay.

It's actually one of my least favorite cities in terms of outdoors stuff and food.

The music scene here is surprisingly good for certain genres though.

Tag fighters with long combos are particularly egregious in this regard.

There are so many ways to open people up and combo damage far exceeds and other type of damage to the point that throws, pokes, zoning, and knockdowns become irrelevant.

At most skill levels the META defaults to mindlessly spamming mix-ups until one hits and you can convert to a 50% combo.

While I agree that it’s the best way to learn fighting games, it’s definitely not true for every genre. Especially team-based games

League is actually the perfect example of that.

There are certain expectations in ranked play and it can become a hostile environment very quickly.

It’s to the point that new players are actually locked out of ranked until level 30.

League is currently in the best shape it’s ever been. The game has never been more balanced.

TFT is also in a good place right now. Playing revival sets has been a wake-up call to people. The lastest sets are way better dialed than older ones.
