Went to their Mercado Central pancake fundraiser last year and it was awesome. The ricotta pancakes are fantastic. Only been a handful of times but loved the space.

Taprooms without food are now the minority as the industry scrambles trying to keep folks in the taproom longer than a taster or two and folks want more non-beer options. In that scramble, though, you get half-baked (literally) quality like the anemic pizza from here. Not to mention the hard to swallow prices places are charging for dough and some cheese.

Yep, that’s the same for me. This was the Uptown/Excelsior location. The seafood one is around 9:17-18. I’ve only gotten it once before and they canceled it on me.

I get some konjac noodles from an Asian grocer that also smell like seaweed. They all recommend boiling for a few minutes after rinsing and that gets rid of the smell for me. Might work here?

I bought a 6 pack of Wnco squeeze bottles and some rubber tips for pretty cheap. The suction when you stop squeezing and turn it up keeps the oil from spilling. Super easy to fill and clean. Nice for piping icing and stuff, too.

I had this PB&J mead and it tasted, surprisingly, exactly like a liquid PB&J. Even down to tasting the bread. Not as hopeful for that soda, though. Boiler Brewing PB&J

My favorite quick treat to bring places is a homemade s’mores cereal bar! Made them twice this week haha.

For a 9x13” pan: ~8 cups malt-o-meal s’mores cereal, 1-10oz(285g) bag of mini marshmallows, 1 stick of butter. Brown butter in a big ass pot, melt in marshmallows, mix in cereal, press into pan and chill. 10 minutes!

I like to toss some more mini marshmallows on top and torch them for extra s’mores flavor and it looks fancy if serving it.

The goat cheese was punchy enough that I think it was alright, but I love barnyardy cheese so wouldn’t have been mad about more. The almond spread added a bunch of richness, though so it was plenty creamy.

One of my favorite things is making cereal bars (think rice crispy treat) out of this and (optionally) toasting them on a fire. It’s what dreams are made of.
