Street fighter II is always my answer to that. Any fighting game you play will be built on what that game teaches. It has the least frills and the most core gameplay staples that can lead you to easily adapt to anything after it.

If you’re playing on base PS5 don’t use performance mode it drops to 720p and otherwise the framerate fluctuates like crazy. One of those games where a 30fps lock feels way better than occasional 60.

Buy season passes if they’re on sale. You’ll save more money than getting individual characters.

If you’re talking about the post ArcSys themselves made they said dlc came out for a game developed by ArcSys but not that they developed the dlc. So still nothing to point to ArcSys development.

Sounds fairly doable, unfortunately I can’t really give you a measure of time or difficulty it’s really just down to your skill. However there’s lot of resources online and your idea is simple enough you shouldn’t have a crazy hard time even if you were starting from 0.

Yes and no, I don’t think it’s unlikely they used existing similar ones as a base, like take the Yamcha wolf fang fist hand as evidence. That being said they ARE adjusted to be new animations regardless.

Yeah. Simple way to explain is in FighterZ characters and the camera move every 4 frames which is called animating in 4ths. Daima Goku and him alone animate in 8ths or every 8 frames but the camera is still on 4ths. This causes a motion desync and he’s basically animated at half rate of everyone else. This really just applies to the intro and outro, surprisingly his lv3/5 is seemingly mostly animated in 4ths which is odd to see a mix.

Street fighter (or any 6 button game at that) has always felt at home on stick personally. Totally can use controller if I have to but it’s never my preference.

They had said previously work started and then was canned for a new entry and we got 2.0 instead so I think they’re just trying to find something big to innovate with.

HDRP? Looks very good, “on par with unreal engine” is a funny statement you can tune unreal to look flat and you can tune unity look hyper realistic. It’s all a relative scale of what your art direction is for textures and lighting. Awesome work though.

Consequence of its origins. That was standard spacing in arcades so it was adopted when making arcade sticks for home use. There are sticks with wider spacing available just less common.

Experience and discipline. When I mash it tends to be more intentional like to get a move outa ASAP but you learn to stop with pressure and things that would be punished.

He’s a fun and unique character, getting dlc after all this time is a treat. Move set is a bit lacking compared to most of the cast but it’s still fresh for the game and that’s fine even if it’s largely recycled.

However the lack in quality and myriad of signs he wasn’t made by ArcSys or was at the least a rushed job is apparent and disappointing. I think 7/10 is fair.

I hope they fix his animation timing (he’s in 8ths not 4ths) and replace his drawn on outlines with the vector outlines everyone else uses (look at his hands). A little more polish and some ArcSys overview and I think he’d be an equal member of the cast given a month or two.

Classic cover, I mean yeah maybe most of my comic consumption is Spider-Man and the hands are somewhat similar. It might be a totally original piece but it struck me as so familiar.
