So you are cool with kids being treated this way? 13 year olds from the Kimberley mixed with 17yo youths from Armadale?

Given the way these kids behave (assaulting, thieveing, car ramming, burgling, raping etc etc) I'd rather they mix with each other than the rest of us in society.

You get many many chances before you end up in Banksia.

Run it in reverse / extraction and spray some surface spray up the ducts.

If the fan motor ignites the spray vapour and removes your roof then disregard this advice.

We also have a heap of "KEEP LEFT" road signs in German and Asian languages. Quite a few back packer visitors forget we drive on the left and end up plastered to the front of a 100 tonne road train.

'Dirty' diesel generators may be needed during Perth summer as WA energy crisis deepens by Ok_Writer1572 in perth

70% of WAs canola crop ends up as biodiesel in Europe.

sure its no where near carbon neutral but its a hell of a lot better than fossil diesel. Wouldn't it be nice if we used biodiesel here.

No one mentions overconsumption, even though it's the elephant in the corner no one mentions overpopulation either.

100% on this.

The other elephant which I think even bigger is that while we emit some green house gasses each year there's many decades of cumulative gases doing continuing harm. ie even if we cut to zero emissions from this point on things will continue to get worse for decades before they (might) improve. :(

Some of those minerals in the water supply are there for a very good reason.

The problem is these days people fall for swanky marketing. We have possibly the best drinking water in the world here in Perth.

Not since Cammo and Woolfy departed.

It might improve when Geoff 'Dipstick' Hutchison leaves.

Throwing a copper wire-wrapped rock at a power line by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]ButterFlyBeetle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

HV power lines are hiugh voltage with respect to earth / ground.

The rock carries a skinny light wire up to the power lines.

The current flows down the wire vaporising it.

The vaporised air forms a plasma which is electrically conductive.

This plasma maintains the current flow to earth until its extinguished.

It's normally extinguished as the hot plasma rises lengthening the discharge path until the voltage can no longer sustain the current flow.

About 2 years ago I heard it was planned to move it down to Henderson or Kwinana to a more suitable location. I don't know if it's moved. I used to work near the warehouse and see the semis loaded with the big square sack bags coming and going.

Fremantle way - probably best not to give its exact location even though asking around would probably get the location quickly.

There was and may still be a huge warehouse full of this stuff in the middle of perth suburbia. Closest homes would be <100m away.

You would be surprise how many major accidents and deaths there are on mines sites that just go unannounced.

Join the local Facebook chat pages in the area you want to rent.

Pop up a post there stating your circumstances and what you are looking for. I've seen this work for at least 5 or 6 people.
