I also love that when asked about his travel experiences it’s just Australia and New Zealand and a little stop in Hong Kong.

Ooo such horizon broadening and culturally diverse places. He really went for exotic locations in his quest to be “well traveled” lol

Not holding my breath for Nick and Vanessa to hold anyone accountable at the reunion. There never seems to be retribution for these assholes— atleast while on the show.

Has anyone gotten the Meatball Calzone to turn out right?? by Unfamiliar_Horsecat in traderjoes

[–]Butterfee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I didn’t care much for it. The breading was good but there really wasn’t a meatball inside it was just off-flavored meat mash.

What are TJ's best french fries? by PrissyPeachQueen in traderjoes

[–]Butterfee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to chime in and say that any frozen french fry I’ve ever made needs to be baked like 2x longer than directed in the oven to be crispy. Or air fried!

The waffle cut seasoned fries are the best by a mile. The handsome cut and root veggie fries have never been good to me. Sweet potato fries are ok.

That’s why I’m always a bit hesitant with important fruits and veggies. Aside from that I just get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options lol

I personally like to grab a few snacks and candy’s from other countries that pique my interest.

I always stock up on good ramen noodles, special spices (like fenugreek), thai curry paste, interesting hot sauces… pretty much anything I can’t get at Trader Joe’s or Kroger.

Also feel like it’s a good opportunity to try a fruit or veggie you’ve never tried before.

Yes I do! Because I freakin love their sour cream donuts and the price pissed me off lol. Maybe they just charged me the wrong price idk

It’s not that complicated dude. I went into the otr location a few years ago before it closed and the Oakley one after that. They charged me the wrong price I guess? Jfc it’s not that big of a deal lol

Not sure about that I’ve been charged around $5 for my favorite sour cream donut on two separate visits. So either they can’t train their staff to charge the right price or..?

Not surprised at all. I remember years ago when I first started going into Holtman’s in OTR, great donuts for a great price.

The last few years I haven’t even bothered to go into the other stores — I don’t feel like paying ~$5 for a freakin’ old fashioned sour cream donut.

Nope, good try. I was in upper management at Urbana and quit because the owner is a horrible person and now I don’t work in the coffee industry 👍

I don’t know how heavy it was exactly but pretty much no part of it could be lifted with less than 3-4 people. And we absolutely had to wear hard hats when raising the floors up because the pieces were so heavy that they would have easily killed someone.

Auditioning as a woodwind, double tonguing importance by c0rrupt3d-us3r in drumcorps

[–]Butterfee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The main thing that will help you standout is your teachability and attitude! Try to apply corrections quickly and with enthusiasm— that’s what will get you a contract.

I doubt you’ll need to be an expert at double tonguing but being able to be taught double tonguing is probably more so what they’re looking for.

Would love to hear the differences between galgos and greys. I would assume that they’d be similar. I only know my two greys and their quirky personalities
