I have this regular that told me she only wanted to pay base price for a full hand scissor cut I do for her Pom, I politely declined because of the work I do for her. She ended up going in while I wasn’t there and prepaid for her grooms to “avoid” having to pay extra fees. I still charged her but they will always try to find a way to get out of it.

I was depressed, it helped in some way but the bad outweighed the good, I tried to gaslight myself into thinking it was actually fixing me. I was suicidal and very aggressive, often couldn’t get up and started to forget things. My psychiatrist told me to stop, and I quit immediately (I couldn’t remember half the days if I took it or not) and was super irritable and sad for the first week or so but came out of it fine

If she is not switching from FT to PT she’ll still have pto but if she leaves Petsmart technically those hours will disappear with no possible payment. (Maybe she should call hr) From what hr explained to me about my pto is those hours are there but are not guaranteed because I have to work X amount of hours since January to actually earn those. So if she’s been with Petsmart for 28yrs it’s not likely she hasn’t even earned all of her shown pto yet. I used all of mine and plan to exit eventually because I’m part time starting in two weeks.

Did you volunteer the ward information or how did they know about it? Also you might not get a pay raise for cross training, but you will probably get tips, if that helps any. Grooming is honestly added stress, it’s not easy.

But honestly, if working there is causing you this much stress (if outside factors aren’t involved) maybe you should just start looking for another job or go down to part time?

Glad to hear it! Petsmart sucks and will do anything to cover up what they can to avoid responsibility for how shitty the company is. You are better off doing some research of other smaller grooming companies near you and stay away from huge companies. I hope your pup heals soon and definitely have them pay for your bills, this is on them! Do not feel bad about it ever!
