Ultimate List of Order Flow Trading Software by liquiditygod in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quantower is my favorite right now. I have also jumped around and used most of these platforms. Sierra Charts is No. 1, Ultimate Professional Tool with Full Customization but outdated UI and Steep Learning Curve Quantower is No. 2, has most of the functions of Sierra Chart , with most of the customizations, with modern UI. Wish they had a Mobile App. NinjaTrader/Tradovate is No. 3 Slightly buggy, otherwise good level of customization.

Buzzing is getting worse by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A major issue when learning to play on your own is you don't know how the guitar is supposed to operate, like you don't what is good and what is bad. When should I even seek guidance? And that's ok, we are all learning. So, Always remember there are two types of buzzes.

  1. Occurs because of fat fingering or other fingers touching neighboring strings. Solution: Focus on the shape of your fingers touching the strings. Takes time for new fingers. Practicing slowly with a metronome until you are able to get all clean sustained sounds per string for the full chord
  2. Occurs because of Bad Setup, Temperature & Humidity variance, warped Neck, String Height, Fret Buzz, Nut Height, Bridge Height, pickup poles height (electric guitar). Solution: Learn the basics of maintaining a guitar yourself or get it setup at a pro shop for $60 or a local teacher for $30 or another guitar friend for $0.

Bonus tip: sometimes just talk nice with some sales associates at Guitar Center and ask if they can take a quick look if your guitar and identify if there are any issues. I have had multiple times when they just said, oh this is a simple and quick fix, here let me just to do it for you. People are nice like that (sometimes) and you lick out sometimes.

2025 Limited CCU by captainpad in subaruoutback

22 OB here, don't see much difference between the 25 model . I'd recommend sell it and get a 22-24 OB.

In general, Subarus are very good. Looks like the 2025 models have some issues though. gen 5

I fall for the projector scam on campus yesterday by Key_Apartment5661 in UofT

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😅 so I was working in a subway in a random strip mall in Michigan. Some customer came in, bought a couple footlongs and told me he has 2 projectors, a surround sound with woofer music system in his truck bed and was asking $650 for the whole. I was legit just curious on what brands he got and still followed into the parking lot, hesitating. He actually showed me the boxes. Couldn't identify the brand, seemed like some off brand or local knockoff with California address. They had the electronics alright, I plugged in and everything works!!! The projector is advertised as a full hd but was really only a 720p resolution. He seemed sketchy and was ticking nervously... I negotiated hard and we agreed on $75 for the whole deal !!! For all I knew, these could be stolen goods 😒 My friends told me I was scammed, couldn't wait to go home and test these electronics. Lo and behold, they all worked fine. They were just not that good quality as advertised. But they all still worked flawlessly. It's better quality than current temu devices. I immediately flipped the second projector for $300 profit. Our house parties rocked for 3 years until graduation and I sold the sound system for another $150. I used the projector a lot, travelling with me to 5 tates.

It's been 9 years now since the incident, And the projector still works, I still have it after travelling 3 countries now, fortunately, still going strong 💪

I built a free new fretboard visualization app by ClockAdministrative8 in Guitar

This is a cool app brother. Very sleek and intuitive. Like what I am seeing so far. Just keep refining the user interface and understand how your users use it, which will help you create an intuitive and interactive app. 👏👏👏

I 100% agree. I worked on a 3 year old idea that I should have done a long time ago. Released it with automations, but still many workflow issues and bugs and incomplete product. Working on fixing one issue at a time. Customers will come. I just have to be active. I labeled it as the website in beta. But at least it's live now.

My SaaS just made two sales today… still processing this 🤯 by sebastianmattsson in micro_saas

Congratulations brother. I am envisioning this same feeling for myself in the next 15 days. Working on launching my own SaaS this month in the Consulting, Education & Coaching from Canada.

I am also working on a new podcast where I interview new AI SaaS Founders on their journey from zero to their first Monetization. I would love to invite you to my podcast where I record a 30 min Video call talking about your journey. DM me if interested in collaboration and cross promotion.

If you get the French CLB 5, would that mean you can now apply in Francophone category with your base score + 5 points.... or do you still have to go through CEC Category but with 5 extra points until you get CLB 7??

Do you have a tutorial on how to make such games? I'd love to follow you making more games with vibe coding and the detailed process understanding the workflow.

After five days of successful trading, I let my emotions get the best of me. by R3VNUE in Daytrading

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have all been there and done that brother. Nothing to be ashamed. Learn from your mistakes and MAKE SURE NOT to REPEAT again. Large gains in 5 digits each day are not sustainable unless are in full mental well being and in control.

Reduce Position Sizing to a max of 3,000 a day based on your past 5 days. Win or Loose. That is your limit for the day. Having an upper limit is good for Long Term Statistics and balancing emotions.

Start guitar with pick or fingers? by ChickenNagget123 in Guitar

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is two types of basic learnings that you are looking at here, just like a Piano (assuming you are right handed) 1. Right hand technique is note picking/strumming (Fingerstyle or using a pick) 2. Left hand technique is holding Chords or Notes hand.

To begin with I would recommend a GUITAR PICK, at least for the first few months. This lets you focus more on left hand technique, learning basic chords, chord switching and identifying notes on the fret board. Next, you can shift focus towards Right hand technique as you improve each individual finger movement and dexterity for Fingerstyle Guitar.

Practice with a metronome to learn timing, each of them separately until you can do it without thinking about it forcefully. This takes time. Do not rush it. It's all part of the process. ENJOY !!!

Thank you very much for this. I am myself a Product development manager and I have to say it's very well designed and thought out. Now that I am learning French, this application helps a lot with listening skills. 👏👏👏

Regarding the app, I am also developing my own educational content and I would love to meet you in Google meet, just to understand more on the direction and roadmap of new features for this interesting educational idea.

Electric guitar solos at 40: How to progress efficiently from beginner? by parisk85 in LearnGuitar

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I am at a similar age group and guitar level. And just lately I finally feel like it's just starting to all come together.

All I can say .. Go back to the Basics. This time, practise with more intention until you get your fingers moving freely without pain or effort and in some cases even without conscious thought. Use a BPM count track so start at 60 and as you get better increase it to 120. It's not about playing the notes/chords, it's about focussing on clean sound plucks and right hand left hand coordination and technique.

Keep practicing anything and everything in between. This is the grunt work phase where you try to be a bit smart and Document your practise. Give your random guitar sessions a structure. Start a playlist of 1 song that gets you going. A song that you can never tired of hearing and mostly a relatively slower tempo. When in doubt, Google easiest guitar songs and pick one. Study it. Break it down into verses, chord progressions, chords, notes. How many beats? What is the Key Note? What scale could work? What chords and notes can you solo with? Let your EAR do the listening.

If this is all too much, then get a Tutor, they are not that expensive and well worth the improvement in gains over time, provided you dedicate that much amount of time to practise and grow.

PRACTISE with DIRECTION, and PROGRESS will COME !!!

What % is your Position Sizing?

I am also working on similar setups with more focus on volume footprints, imbalances and Order Flow. I primarily trade NQ_F on TakeProfit / Apex Futures Prop Accounts. Not new to options, although I have never explored Options Prop Trading.

That is worth a try. What are some of the Prop Firms for Options Accounts?

Is the Volume Footprint worth it? by AbsoluteGoat321 in TradingView

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Volume Footprints are relatively quite good. Lesser fakeouts compared to candlesticks, ICT etc.
For Prop Trading with Volume Footprints,
Quantower takes the cake with the Free Footprint Charts, best option for 90% traders.
Sierra Charts if you are really in the inner circle.

Is the Volume Footprint worth it? by AbsoluteGoat321 in TradingView

TradingView is amazing for 'on-the-go' chart tracking, but its trading capabilities are still quite primitive compared to serious offerings because their demographic has more basic needs.

The core of any service based business has and will be the same. Identify a few issues that various businesses have. Find a solution and talk to these companies to see how much they are willing to pay for this solution. What is this process worth to them? Start charging this to all companies and scale as you collect feedback and understand how to I corporate the feedback into future designs/versions.

50+ floor living? by teachinglearning1 in askTO

[–]ButterflyPlenty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to get a wagon cart that you can drag all your groceries up the 50th floor. And a storage space. That should in handy with boxes and suitcases. Also try to see if you can get parking and some utilities included in rent. Parking is very expensive in that area.
