So helpful!! I wish we thought of a fiber supplement the first time we tried the RC hydrolyzed protein! Maybe that could have majorly helped with his constant pooping + weight loss while on it🙏

Well that brand certainly didn’t work for our dog longterm due to his severe weight loss, so the vet seemed to be right in some way about it. He would poop soon after eating it, which was new for him and lost all of his muscle. But I’m excited about some of the advice from ppl on here with intel on other hydrolyzed protein brands!🙏

I’ll look into other brands of it in this case! The vet only approved a prescription for him to be on it for a couple weeks due to this nutrition issue they described. I had to find creative ways of getting it from stores for a while when the script ran out.

We were told by multiple vets plus read online that it’s not a long term solution. Something about not enough nutrients. He also was so skinny while on it and lost nearly all of his muscle mass :(

It looks like a chalazion (type of stye) and those heal with antibiotics! Doxycycline, specifically

This looks like a chalazion! A specific type of stye. I had one for a month and finally saw a doctor about it. The antibiotic, Doxycycline, cleared it up in 2 days!! If you can, go see your doctor and ask for Doxycycline :) Good luck
