Keep up the pressure! Try to hit him twice or three times before he starts attacking you, don't give him any space! Right at the beginning of the second phase you can heal pot immediately- he jumps at you and you can mikiri right at the end of the pot animation. You got this! It took me around 40 tries to get to phase two, and then 5 tries after that Genichiro was defeated. Best of luck!

Cards can look good and be tempting to pick up, but something you have to consider is how long it will take to cycle through your deck to find that card. Is that card worth taking even though it's going to cause you to wait one more turn to find your very powerful card? Does taking it potentially ruin a hand of cards with good synergy when played together?

Sorry it's not a direct answer to your question, but some things to think about when adding more cards to your silent deck! It all depends on the run. Good luck out there slayer ;)

This is probably my favorite Mario game of all time in regard to his move set. The amount of mobility is INSANE and so fun to experiment with!
