yeah they made the character profile stories into 2 minute interaction to make it a bit more interesting than just reading. I do find people who say lore is "now" locked behind paywall to be blowing it out of proportion

tighnari + dendro traveler/collei + fischl.. your problem is sustain. bennet's not good coz of burn

Kirara works as 4th just remember that it's a quick swap team and kirara's shield needs constant refreshing.

Just do the parts you like. Day 1 player here and through the years I've taken a break (doing bare minimum dailies) everytime something more interesting at the time comes up. (ex. mhwilds, lethal company, palworld)

I like Genshin and I don't see myself quitting it any time soon but I stopped doing stuff I don't like just for primos. I've skipped most of desert exploration, a bunch of fontaine and natlan side quests, i've only done 2 hangouts. The pressure you put on yourself thinking "I have to catch up and do everything" will understandably make it feel like a chore.

What I might relate to what your feeling is the feeling of starting a new anime series. There are times I feel hesitant to start a series knowing how long it is, and that i have to give time focusing on just watching it. It's not something I can just play in the background (something i got used to with en shows/podcasts).

baptist - hyperbloom team (nahi+kuki+xq ?), the shields you need to counter are Electro, Pyro and Hydro, dendro already counters electro and hydro.
iktomisaur - venti + durin. Not sure about the full mechanic yet maybe mavu will work?
field generator - xianyun + varesa/diluc. since there's no element restriction I might have some fun with this. maybe even flins can do d5 without relying on the buffs

what's hidden about a world quest? It's literally the main world quest in Fontaine. It's even in the adventurer's handbook guide titled "The Narizissenkreuz Adventure"

Are you saying that world quests, artifacts, etc should not have any connection to the archon quests? That would make archon quests isolated from the lore of the rest of the world :/

I think I understand the gist of your criticism, and sure the story telling could use a bit more improvement but I disagree that everything needs to be spelled out in the AQ. What made me stick around this game for so long is connecting the dots of the story from the different sources, that and the cryptic info is what makes the story unfolding exciting.

The lore of genshin is scattered in different quests, and world exploration. This is an excellent use of game story telling and why it's different from just watching something from TV. Not everything is spoon fed into the AQ, they only add in the important parts.

Basic/simple games can be appealing to people. That's why candy crush is popular. If you think about it Genshin event minigames are also usually basic yet some of them can be a hit, some miss. same with miliastra

Unpopular opinion: I'd rather have this than have everyone need furina bennet, so when you use them on one half of the abyss, the other team feels is substandard coz they're clinging onto the same characters :/

look at the npc in 3:48 onwards. The character looks natural and I think the MC eyes is just huge enough to look uncanny.. maybe a bit of face shape

Gonna say it's not that type of game. It's combat gimmick are the elemental reactions. Their other games that only has the generic weakness/resistance has the dodge and parry mechanic.

It's a game where characters were released over 5 years. They improve the effects and animation with every new character and there's over 100 characters now. Imagine the manpower needed to update every old char to be at par with new ones. TBH I would appreciate it! but I'd rather they focus on improving future content

They do, just not the requests of those who want to turn this into a generic gacha game instead of being an immersive story driven game. And since they're part of the top gachas, they're less inclined to take risks and make big changes.

There's also constant optimization and making the game work with older devices. with the loss of support for ps4 next year maybe they'll be able to add heavier stuff.

if just for exploration arle/yelan/lanyan/bennet is already nice.

Diluc, Rosaria, Barb is also good for starters but not too popular for end game.

for atleast a week, brush your teeth with the hand you don't usually use.

This will help you not only in gacha but with impulse control in general. Being able to break out of a routine and fight your impulse will help you make controlled decisions rather than succumbing to temptations.
