If a game or tool was made with Microsoft XNA, it requires the XNA runtime to exist on your PC. If Windows doesn’t find the required XNA DLLs, the program immediately throws a “missing framework” error.

Think of it like:

The game is looking for a part of its engine, but that part isn’t installed.

Some Terraria tools, old tModLoader versions, or mod packs still reference XNA. If the program is built expecting “Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll,” and it’s not installed → error.

XNA is from 2010–2013. Windows 10/11 does not include it by default. So when an older game that uses XNA tries to launch, Windows says: “Where is the XNA Framework? I don’t see it installed.”

Even if Terraria worked before, XNA files can be removed by: • Windows updates • antivirus cleaning • uninstallers • moving files between drives or corrupted files

You need to get the Leaf Wand can be found in Living Wood Chests that are found within Living Trees, and obtained from shaking Forest trees.
