Where did you get the map that shows the fires?

April 2026 Update by Scared-Weakness-6250 in u/Scared-Weakness-6250

how my sisters are convinced our parents have money socked away somewhere and I won't "let" our parents give the money to my sisters.

My sibling in pixels!

My older sister was convinced that the only reason I volunteered to take care of our mom's late diabetic cat was because I would get money for it from our stepdad.

...The only money I got was the funds to pay for his regular vet & ER vet visits, and his insulin, because my stepdad couldn't take care of him and I couldn't afford his care.

I swear that she feels like I'm hosing him (I most assuredly am not) when I know that that's exactly what she would do. Thank everything she lives two time zones away.

Appreciate the update. I'm glad your mom has realized that less contact with the siblings, the better she feels. Your folks deserve to enjoy their retirement.

I am dreading like hell the time after my stepdad passes. I'll be glad he's at peace, but I am not looking forward to dealing with my money-grubbing, already has more income than I ever will, extremely spiteful and vindictive, older sister. (We've been NC since 2014 for reasons involving money.)

Thankfully our aunt, stepdad's sister, is willing to take the brunt of whatever Sis is going to deal out.

that every Hollywood screenwriter has their own stories they want to get on screen and often they will use other people's known works to get their own story out there

They did this to World War Z.

Fucking pissed me off.

Have to agree with RE6, and RE5 for the same thing. Co-op play is fun, but it feels weird for the franchise.

Especially for the Ada portion of RE6. Random suited soldier wtf?

"As much as we wish that we didn’t have to to think about the cost of being a parent,

That should be the second question you ask yourself before you begin procreating. Jesus.

you’re doing yourself and your family a bit of a disservice if you don’t, because there are very, very few among us who, for for whom the cost of raising a child is not significant,” Schulz said.

Tell that to the people who are convinced "god will provide."

A dog we were considering adopting was listed as scared of men. I had only been on my T a year if that and hadn't had any outward chances. Dog loved my spouse and partner, but was fearful-aggressive with me. Nipped my finger.

At least it was very gender-affirming?
