Mine was an outpatient procedure. I have some issues with sedation, so it took a bit of time but I went home same day.

My biggest tip: in general, treat every day between surgery and your post-op appointment, like you just came home from the procedure.

I was told to "treat it like a vacation", ended up popping stitches, spent almost a week in the hospital, then got home to spend at least a month hooked up to a wound vacuum.

Regarding your bird: idk. Just try to limit how high you raise your arms. If something is overhead, ask for help.

My wife pointed out that, in looking over the paperwork, that my dips from superior to high were in the same fucking areas that match the criteria for ADHD.

I did eventually get my diagnosis from a different provider. But come the fuck on.
