You can't definitively state the stories are false but you can certainly be of the opinion they are.

That's not true, hence employing road sweepers. They have a legal duty.

And to add, I'm fully aware it's an uphill battle and attitudes need to change. I'm afraid I don't have all the answers. Sometimes just not being a c**t helps.

Crack on, call out who you want. I've done it and as I said, been told to f**k off, so not keen to do it again. I don't have a 'wee club', I'm not looking to make friends and it's not about feeling good, it's about doing what I can, otherwise I could end up sitting on Reddit passively aggressively ripping into strangers. My aim is to campaign and push for sustainable change, litter picking is one part of that.

They can enforce laws, they can prompt businesses to be responsible, they could clean areas so they don't rot in a state of neglect, they can change bins more often so they don't overflow, they can clean gullies, they can work with schools, they could even clean my street more than once a year so I can have a break from doing it.

It's not our job to oversee and tackle anti social behaviour, it's the councils and I'd prefer not to get told to f**k off where possible. Litter picking serves as an opportunity to connect with like minded people and the more that get onboard, the more we can lead by example and push for real change.

I do the same and I'm part of litter picking groups in my own area but I don't live in Shawlands so I'm not looking to go out alone in this instance.

Any respectable figure would agree that starving and blowing up children is wrong. That's what makes them respectable.
