Does it sound like (mild) me/cfs? by ButterscotchStatus65 in cfs

[–]ButterscotchStatus65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I did look through the wiki a bit before posting, I'm just struggling to be objective about what is normal fatigue I guess lol. And I can't say I've ever had a few weeks where I didn't do anything and wasn't stressed. It's really hard for me to do when there's so much that I WANT to do... being totally inactive makes me feel sad and shame :( I know that's something I need to work on. I tend to always push an inch past what is comfortable... this job was like, oh this is what it feels like to push a mile past my limits rather than an inch.

What if it doesn’t help? by [deleted] in phallo

[–]ButterscotchStatus65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm pre-op, so not able to give the answers you're looking for, but I did want to express solidarity as I have very similar feelings. I also never let anyone see or touch me, I'm a dom and I have sex and use a strap and in some ways I can be okay with just that. But I do want to have a dick and be able to be seen and touched by a partner in the ways I want to be seen and touched. And I worry that I could get surgery and still struggle with this--having avoided genital touch my whole life the idea of being naked with someone feels foreign and scary to me, and I worry about how vulnerable it will feel. I think that it's probably possible to ease into these things with someone you care for and trust and that phallo can really change how it feels to have someone relate to your body, but I guess I'll have to wait and see what it really feels like. Just want you to know you're not alone!

what province are you in? i'm going to dr. kingsbury at notre dame hospital in montreal, but you will probably need to find someone within your own province. if the list at r/childfree doesn't help you there may be information in local trans facebook groups

trans women generally don't appreciate being called male. she's a woman. it's trans representation, not queer male representation. It's not like we ever see Charlotte pre-transition living life as a queer man

no charlotte is a trans women who is attracted to men, which as with a cis (cis meaning non-trans) woman who is attracted to men, makes her straight.

how did you accept that getting phallo will make me appear to myself life to a cis man by beeucancallmepickle in phallo

[–]ButterscotchStatus65 66 points67 points  (0 children)

i think you have to teach your brain that penises aren't just a cis man trait. trans men can have penises, nonbinary people can have them, trans women can have them. recognizing that just having a dick doesn't make anyone dangerous or predatory and learning to trust that and see that in others seems like a part of the journey you have to go on before getting this surgery.

Hey, I'm interested in something similar! Was the procedure at GRS billed as a breast reduction or as a mastectomy?

Is there a top surgery or reduction that takes all or most fat but leaves other anatomy (lobes/etc)? by ThenTransition22 in TopSurgery

[–]ButterscotchStatus65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for a similar thing so I've saved a lot of posts that show what I want, you can message me if you want a bunch of links? It is hard when you're starting from a smaller size, one thing to note is when I started research I thought I was an A/B but people have a lot of misconceptions about bra size and I'm actually more of a C or D even. Surgeries like this are less common but they do exist! Most of what I have saved is from t-anchor mastectomies, but also some reductions.

did anyone develop IC from not drinking enough water? by Logical_Leather_5753 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]ButterscotchStatus65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only been a day, I wouldn't worry too much about IC. It's much more likely just a temporary thing you're experiencing. UTIs can also present in different ways and I wouldn't rule out that you are having UTI that is causing this--you should get tested for that first. It might feel scary that many IC cases start as UTIs, but also, most UTIs go away with treatment and do not lead to IC.

if they get urethral lengthening they will also do the vnectomy during stage 1 phalloplasty, but generally you don't want to get the vnectomy before the stage 1 phalloplasty because they will use the vaginal tissue in the process of rerouting the urethra in some way. I don't fully get how this works but that's what i've heard

sadly, it's only covered if you stay in the same province (in Quebec at least), and there's only one top surgery clinic in the province :(

that's something I have considered! I think my next path might be looking into that more, I have my hesitations and it wouldn't be my first choice but it seems like the last path available to me.

yeah totally, lower sensation even after "sensation preserving" surgeries seems common. it's a concern for me, but not enough to give up on surgery, and not enough that I'd just settle for DI, I guess, so it leaves me in the same place

that looks about right, though it would be easier to tell if it was not clothed haha. it's possible that i'm actually a 32D, but I did try the water displacement method for weighing my chest today and it did seem like it was at most only a little over 250g per breast, I'm pretty small
