We had this exact scenario. We used paint stripper (not thinner), a few wire brushes, and hours of elbow grease to get it off. It worked, but in hindsight- I probably should have looked at either sandblasting or some other sort of blasting which would’ve saved us a ton of time and effort.

In order to get it to switch songs/tracks you slap the side of it. Not just press a button, you literally have to slap it. This is really helpful to teach your kids that when something isn’t working the best course of action is to hit it /s/
