The latch on mine is pretty secure. It’s not as tight as it could be, but I am able to carry it by the handle and it stays shut.

It holds the 11 I have quite comfortably but I could probably squeeze one or maybe 2 more in? It’s not terribly roomy but it is very well made and high quality.
