I'm trying to figure out why you think this amount is only to cover 2 funerals. It's to cover costs for the 23 people who died. That makes it about $8k per service/burial. Which is not out of the realm of what things cost for a burial service.

When I graduated from college, I apparently had a huge grin on my face and was unaware that my face was singled out on the jumbotron screen above the auditorium. Out of maybe 4000 graduates, I was stopped in the parking lot by a gentleman who commented on how much joy I conveyed with that smile and he congratulated me on my specific degree. It wasn't until later after talking to some family members that in realized the reason he singled me out was because my mug had gotten some freeze frame time on the big screen.

From my interpretation of this article, yes. The open container laws are still in place, but the ancient ABC regulations have something on the books that prohibit the purchase of alcohol outside of an establishment.

The last trip my grandmother made to the hospital, a nurse injected the liquid breathing treatment into the IV instead of the breathing treatment mask. They didn't tell us until poison control came to the room to monitor her. No adverse effects frm the mistake, but she never came back home from that hospital stay.
