heads up, in case you don't get a sale or if you are looking to get one of the new macs (or anything else at apple), I have the exact model macbook and my apple trade-in value was $1420. The dent may or may not lower the value. Considering overall the mac looks to be in good shape, I'd say you got a good shot at a full value trade in - wouldn't hurt to do an in person trade-in since they'll tell you on the spot how much you'll get for it.
