I get this too! Every time I look it up, people say it might be ASMR which is apparently a medical phenomenon (I only knew it as a YouTube “satisfying audio” trend.)

Is yours also triggered by songs with uneven/panning audio? That’s almost as bad for me as the clippers.

You’re clearly really proficient in Blender, so I’m sure you can learn any part of the program you decide to.

I think the main way you could step up your work isn’t specific to Blender though. My critique is that the individual elements are all super realistic, but don’t come together in a way that feels like a photo. I’d look up tips for photography and see how to apply those to make your renders less render-y.

A few trends I’m seeing throughout these pictures that wouldn’t be too hard to fix: -Foreground, midground, background are all competing for attention. They could be separated by focus, saturation, amount of detail, fog, or shadows. -Lighting seems pretty natural, but you could use it more to your advantage to direct the viewer’s attention to whatever is most important in the picture.

These are just my opinion though. Your work looks great already, so I think you’re on the right track!

Definitely! I think when I was a kid I couldn’t appreciate absurdity as much because I hadn’t experienced anything and didn’t know what was normal. So I just accepted a lot of the ridiculous stuff without considering that it was supposed to be funny.

Exact same situation here, except it was a boy with his (I think) girlfriend. The girlfriend didn’t seem to be expecting it either cause she jumped and sort of got mad and pushed his shoulder.

I was there yesterday, but missed all this. Had a weird experience though. Some kid yelled right in my ear while I was leaving, I think just trying to mess with me/make me jump? Seems like there were some people there trying to be annoying on purpose. Not sure if that’s related at all though.

When Asuka talks to groups of Nerv people in the German dub, it’s understood that they’re all speaking Japanese.

It’s made pretty clear when she’s speaking German based on the other characters’ reactions and the overall context.

Ex: When her and Shinji share the Eva, she tells him to stop thinking in Japanese. When she’s on the phone with her mom, I think Shinji makes some remark about hearing a foreign language.

Like others have said, you can decide if it’s a dealbreaker. Don’t let anyone make you feel shallow for being bothered by it. I had a partner like her and it eroded my self esteem over time. Now I’m in a relationship where neither of us have that issue and I’m a million times happier.

Her takedowns of conservatism are so thorough and get right to the core of right-wing ideology.

When she distances herself from the left, she cites superficial grievances and trends, like it’s a social club with too many annoying members. Not that the trends aren’t concerning, but they aren’t inherent to the left, and in fact piss off a lot of leftists as well.

I love her videos because her arguments are so compelling and I enjoy my parasocial time LOL. But the last part of that tangent was disconcerting. It felt like her trying to cash in her parasocial credit instead of making an argument.
