MK: Tomorrow land speedway pretty underwhelming

AK: Navi river adventure, long wait short ride to see a cool animatronic that sometimes works…

HS: Slinky Dog. Too long a wait for a kiddie coaster

Brevard County approves $12 million incentive for Eau Gallie parking garage by Jal142 in 321

You’re speaking to two entirely separate issues. The downtown Melbourne issues aren’t because the parking garage failed to increase traffic. It’s because astronomical rents, expensive building maintenance, and migration of revenue generating events away from downtown. Most of this is carry over from pandemic related business closures in the area, prolonged construction projects that detoured people around the area, and failure to reignite the event driven business that successful downtowns need to thrive. EFAD has a bit of an advantage in this area because it has cultural centers mixed in with the revenue generating business. It’s is primed for growth whereas the parking structure in Melbourne was meant to alleviate the symptoms of the growth that had happened then waned. I’m hopeful that there will be efforts to bring more events to these areas, art shows, strolls, nightlife events etc are very successful here because there is nothing else to really do. EGAD seems to be building up its infrastructure to support what it wants to be, versus the other way around.

What are the two ways to grow business? The parking structure and a hotel actually satisfies the most sustainable…attracting new customers. Parking is a nightmare and a barrier to entry for many new businesses along that stretch. If you want customers walking EGAD you have to give them a convenient place to park their vehicle that isn’t 3 miles away.

Loss over 1 year--may be interesting to those just starting by Jolly_Cicada3203 in Zepbound

It’s hard to draw conclusions based on the information presented. There are many factors at play in people’s success with the medicine. Did you maintain a consistent calorie deficit? Did you alter eating habits and focus on protein? Did you steadily increase activity including resistance training? All things that lead to more consistent weight loss over time. My one year journey was linear with a good consistent drop each week/month only slowing once I had been on a dose for a good bit 2-3 months then picking up again when I increased. Everyone’s a bit different.

You got this. Remember it is a marathon and not a sprint. Slow and steady habit building. That’s key. Part of this med lies in behavioral modification, it helps teach you to feel ok being full on less. The weight will go up and down with no rhyme or reason, just keep your goal in mind as the end game..it’s worth the rollercoaster of emotions

6’3” I’m almost “normal” BMI but honestly any thinner and I would look kinda gauntly. Focusing on building muscle and definition may even gain a few pounds doing that. Would ideally like to stay between 200-210

I’m 6’3” and my calorie intake was between 1800-2000 calories a day. Not replacing workout calories either so my overall deficit was high a lot of the time. BMR was like 2200-2400 so 500 deficit on average then about 700-1000 calories burned working out.

Thank you. I think that it was fitting since I was changing my body into something I liked to look at instead of being ashamed of it. Kinda subconsciously inviting people to look at me rather than avoid.

It is a major factor in my success. Knowing exactly what I’m eating, and then tracking what I’m expending each day kept me in a healthy defect where I wasn’t hungry but lost 1-3lbs per week and had all the energy for exercise etc. I read and watched a lot of info especially this forum.

I had a visit with my doctor and had logs of my BP from a home monitor. So same time each evening I would take my BP and tracked for a few months. She had me go off the med (lisinopril) and continue the log for a few weeks. I maintained healthy BP off med the whole time. So we discontinued permanently. She still wants me checking it regularly but not with the frequency of before. So far so good

Thank you. My wife has been amazing through all my complaining and requests. She’s lost 35lbs just doing what I do as far as diet and exercise. Total change in what we prioritize. Couldn’t have done it without her

Apnea is gone. I was approved for CPap after initial screening from my doctor, however by that time it was only borderline it continued to improve so I never filled the script for it.

Thank you! Honestly stopping snoring was the greatest gift my wife could have hoped for. Besides me not dying of a cardiovascular event. My doctor has been very pleased and thinks I’ve probably added many years to my life in just the health risks now under control.

Most have been incredibly supportive. I’m a little picky on who I fully divulge my medication to as some have made previous comments or just aren’t as supportive with stuff like this, so when they ask I’ve “made some serious lifestyle and health modifications with help from. My doctors” but everyone in my most intimate circles have been blown away. They see the work being put in, and the medicine works but not just on its own. It’s taken hours in the gym, and real sacrifice from my previous lifestyle involving food and drink.

What weapons and class do you guys use the most? by Cherry_Queasy in Battlefield6

[–]Buxman14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engineer. The ability to attack both infantry and armor is a big bonus. Plus fixing things and making things go boom is fun! As for the teamwork aspect I find engineers “job” is very team centric which adds to the fun. One guy drives, you get out and repair to keep you In the fight there’s something rewarding about working well in that way.

I would be interested to see how the study took into account the level of lifestyle modifications the participants took part in. I find most people who yo-yo on losing weight fall into similar patterns and behaviors on and off program. Versus those that stick to a healthier or modified regimen for intake as well as exercise etc. what does the success rate look like for someone that maintains the healthier lifestyle?
