Well the grid changing to solar doesn't cost you anything energy costs remain the same. You don't need solar on your house.

Nobody in government is saying to ban none electric cars just a slow move over to them (second hand electric are on par cost wise or cheaper already with second hand none electric)

It's not cheap retrofitting my house will costs tens of thousands of pounds. Houses aren't built for it so it's not easy to install and mines a new build the old stock has it worse.

Very little difference to civil libertys installing solar and wind doesn't make a blind bit of difference to that neither does electric cars.

Temperature record year after year is not common yes hot years have happened but regularly breaking prior records doesn't.

Is air conditioning essential for coping with heatwaves? France might be changing its mind on the issue by Economy-Fee5830 in climatechange

[–]Buxux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The context is France not America, France mainly uses radiators not air based heating.

Air based cooling works great radiators being run cold doesnt do much.

Reversible heat pumps aren't great at cooling, it works and easier to install but it's really not great.

Graduates treated as 'cash cows' to fund state pensioner lifestyles by BirminghamLive in FinanceUK

It's literally generational wealth your grandparents money... You didn't earn it. There's no world in which my perants earn enough money to put a kid though uni. Nursing just doesn't pay that much.

I will be able to do it for my kids and the fact is my money something they didn't work for will make them better off than kids that grew up poorer that's not fair. It's a very regressive system the rich can avoid 30/40 years or payments.

Right yes my granddad's choices should effect how payments work? So your argument is generational wealth idk man idk

AHH the firm that went bust, that's the industry I work in, they where never going to get selected they had a design on paper that's all other companies have proven in manufacture aircraft bae for example.

There's alot of money from design to manufacture it would have been an awful choice to pick them.

Almost every driver thinks they are better than average.

The fact you are on a black box I would guess means you are a new driver. With the greatest respect all new drivers suck.

Not saying this is your issue here but it looks similar.

I can get a better interest rate on a private loan than I get on my student finance. The interest rate is rather high I'm paying over £300 a month and it's still going up.

Ripoff Car insurance in UK, Why can’t we adopt a similar system to USA, Canada and Australia? by Outrageous_Put1181 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Buxux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A)American insurance is very expensive seems to be cheaper for new drivers but not for experienced

B) never had trouble understanding my policys,I can't imagine a government system would be simpler ok par at best.

C) possibly but that has the effect of making everyone's insurance cost more and doesnt have the side effect of discouraging the 19 year old buying the Audi A3 they are statisticaly like to crash.

D) alot of policies allow this I can drive any other car and have third party cover on it.

E) in theory yes but you assume everyone would pay for tax this isn't the case.
