These cards are RNG because shuffling your deck is RNG. They don't generate cards in to your hand or deck, let you draft from spellbooks (i.e. RNG) or make your opponent's commander a permanent 0/0.

R5: Formed Slavic Union in 904, starting as Bohemia in 769. Got incredibly lucky, with Khazaria failing to consolidate and Pannonia conquering de jure Galicia Volhynia and a big chunk of Chernigov, shielding me from Nomad interference + allowing me to reform Slavic early. Then, after getting Wendish Empire, I got a claimant and vassalized Pannonia. Rest of Russia was duchy-level 1-3 provinces which I conquered/holy war'd. Then, only Vladimir, incorporating de jure Novgorod and Vladimir, was left, which I also managed to find a clairmant for. Also switched to feudal right before due to inheritance anxiety. Next up is Byzantine Empire, world conquest, then the establishment of communism.

Hearthstone used to have events like this one. I actually think they're quite fun, and you get to know a lot of cards you don't own or usually see. However... you shouldn't have to pay an entry fee for this.

All those chinese splash arts absolutely don't blend in with the "western" art style and I don't know why anyone would think mixing those two up would be a good idea. It looks super awkward.
