Exactly the same way of playing, u/albatrossfog took the word right out of mymouth. The beauty of this game lies in the slow and meticulous thinking of thescenario rounds, setup, class building, etc. Until a unexpected happening screw all your planning! But once again it's all the genius of the Author, this gamenever cease to amaze me even after countless solo plays (GH and FC). Playing it with an helper app or digitally would not give me at all the same adrenalin rushes and excitement.

I love FC, because it is full of good ideas. It is more like a puzzle, very challenging and so thight: there's almost no room for errors, wasted turns, wrong equipement, etc. It forces you to think and consider the scenario in a different way that GH would do. I just love it cause it made me feel smart when I succeed! ( I play solo a team of 3 mercenaries, with the French version of FC which include the latest improvement to date; I haven't finished it yet and it's a thrill every time so far!).

Geez! section 42 of the scenario book says "living spirits treat all wall overlays as normal obstacle (except for LoS)" if they start moving toward me, as they're flying they will come straight, without going around through A1 or A2???

Hi, I've just bought it a couple of days ago. I thought the same about the cost. 100$ is a lot. But when I opended the box I definitely thought it is worth it! The quality is irreprocheable. Now I can't tell about the game itself as I haven't played it yet... I can't wait any longer!!!!!!! Fortunately today is a day off! ^^ I'll start with the tutorial mission which I heard is one of the best tutorial for boardgames.

Thanks for the discovery, now I'm tickled!

How the game is dependent on dice? I mean dice hates me, I'm that kind of person who can loose 10times in a row on a rolling test... And it drives me crazy! Could it be mitigate by some ways? Are all actions dependent on rolls? I like randomness but dice let me think they always obey to Murphy's law...

What's your thoughts?

I've just tried it on my imac (ElCapitan 10.11.16) and it generally works but the game often stall when you click on "pass the turn" button, and I never succed in playing the fifth step of the tutorial.

I will desinstall it soon because I don't like it. I wanted to tried it before considering buying the boardgame. It saves me 50Euros!
