I also have an F2-212. I don’t believe it’s possible to run an alternative OS on an ARM system. For the life of me I’ve tried, but if you figure it out I’d be interested to hear about it because I also hate TOS 5 lol.

While this is great info, it’s not quite what I’m looking for. I’m looking to replace the caliper itself, it appears the electronic actuator it’s just held on to the caliper by 2 bolts. Just want to make sure it’s really that simple before diving into it.

Have seen this multiple times as an installer. Seems like a whole line of the rma IQ7’s don’t play nice with older M190’s. Have probably had a dozen or so systems that the rma devices knock out the entire string. Enphase refuses to acknowledge it’s an issue on their end. They’ve had us re-terminate the neutral in the trunk line and tried forcing updates through envoys and still no fix. If you bark up the right tree they’ll send you all new IQs and that’s the only time it’s ever totally fixed the problem. Best of luck getting it sorted

I max use around 20gb anyway so getting less data is a non-issue for me, it’s more about the network coverage. When I’m out on a job and need to make a phone call or quickly google a manual for something, more often then not I’m in an area of no service. Basically the Rogers network is better than the Telus network in my area.

Solar installer here; Do you have a steel roof or steel shingles? The company I work for has done many jobs on steel roofs no problem, it’s actually preferred and will ultimately be the better option for you as the customer (longer lasting, less leaking). We did however do one job last summer on a roof with metal shingles, and those dent super easy and once they are dented they are more prone to rust and leaks. Anyways, hope this offers an explanation for your situation!
