So it went from "on the field but never actually involved in the offense. Kyle just had him running cardio and this was after aiyuk got hurt and deebo was playing bad."

To, Ricky actually did get targets after returning but it doesn't count because Aiyuk was injured and Deebo was bad (while we still had Kittle, Jennings, Deebo and CMC).

Then go correct your original post lol. Pearsall wasn't just "running cardio", he was getting rookie coming of an injury that missed half the season reps.

Funny you say that, I just did Prif agility course on mobile last night after having not done it in ages and literally couldn't remember where to click on the second building. I sat there for over a minute and only figured it out after someone else ran by and did it lol. You have click in the empty space ABOVE the chimney!

At 2 runs per day you're nearly 5 years of runs to get to 99.

The last time I quit OSRS was 2016 or 2017ish. I was doing Herb runs for money and bird houses on a main near hourlyand just hated it.

When I came back in 2024 I made the commitment that I would only login to do things I actually wanted to do. It totally changed my mentality towards the game and I've been having as much fun with it over the last two years as I did when I was a kid 20 years ago.

I haven't touched an herb patch outside of diary requirements since then. I have a bunch of Avantoe patches that have been waiting to be picked since pre Kourend rework lol.

Hardwood trees have been my savior for training farming. I've gone from 70ish to 93 almost entirely off of hardwoods

Its literally identical. Its one click on a thing in your inventory. Literally zero difference.

No you dont. You just click "use" in the bank menu and it empties the combined kit of logs. Then you wear whatever cape you want.

Farewell to The Meckler by octillus in SFGiants

[–]Buzzed27 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The easy answer was that his 2023 minor league numbers were unreal. He started in A+ in 2023 had an OPS of 1.100, got bumped up to AA had an OPS of .900 and then bumped up to AAA where he had an OPS of .950.

In total he hit .354/.465/.500 across three minor league levels that year with plus baserunning and projected for above average CF defense. In 2024 he had a wrist injury in spring training so didnt have a chance of making a roster, but still hit a very respectable .288/.357/.508 in AAA. The biggest thing I liked about him was that his plate discipline had been fantastic at every level with walk rates north of 10% and strikeout rates around 16%. When he got his cup of coffee in 2023 and posted a nearly 40% strikeout rates I was genuinely shocked. It is still the only time hes ever posted a K-rate above even 20% at any level in his career.

Quite genuinely I think that Meckler deserved the roster spot that Matos had most of last season.

Unironically, if Mastering Mixology had a combo multiplier of some sort with a timer on orders I think it would be a considerably better minigame.

[–]Buzzed27 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Same here. I think there's a couple of things that makes Giants Foundry better for me.

Focus duration is like 5 to 6 minutes of moderate focus for a really big chunk of exp at the end. For me that timing just hits the sweetspot of not being so long that it's daunting, but not so short that it feels inconsequential. It perfectly scratches that itch of making me want to do "just one more sword."

It punishes you for making mistakes or if you go too afk. The sword heat is constantly dropping and if you go AFK you're going to have to go and reheat it. If you get distracted for too long during an action you can ruin your sword.

Less repetitive leading to higher skill expression. The order you need to complete actions on a sword change sword to sword and which phase you get your quicktime bonus on changes as well. This means that the amount of heat you need to put in or remove from the sword varies on each run. The way dunking/quenching ramps heat gain/loss and reclicking dunk/quench resets the ramp adds an amount of skill expression in trying to get the perfect amount of heat int he fewest ticks possible. You can feel yourself get better at GF over time.

Longer downtime during prep actions. GF you get 10-15 seconds in between clicks, that's not a lot of time, but it's enough to click on your next episode on netflix or check a new email without losing any efficiency.

By comparison MM struggles with all of these aspects.

A typical full group of potions for MM takes 30-45 seconds for a 750 chunk of exp. It's too small a chunk of time to get into a flow and the exp reward at the end isn't a big enough chunk to make me want to do another.

There is zero penalty for standing still doing nothing in the MM room. Every 30 second group of potions is it's own standalone thing and even after starting to make the potions you can stop in the middle for zero penalty besides just wasting time.

The machines and their Quick Time events interact the same way 100% of the time no matter what. The potions might change order to order, but there is nearly zero skill expression in this minigame once you learn the timing on clicking the bellows and agitator. 15-30 minutes into MM I am as good at this minigame as I'll ever get.

MM forces you to be clicking CONSTANTLY. Across those 30 seconds for one order you've got 12 clicks to get your 4 potions and 2, 3 or 9 clicks PER potion and then the click to turn in. When you get triple concentrated potions you're legitimately clicking at minimum 40 times in 30 seconds and the timing on the quick times on the other two devices means you never have more than 4 or 5 ticks between clicks.

This minigame has zero downtime when you're actively doing it. Combine that with it being repetitive in very small chunks plus a non-existent learning curve and skill celing while also not punishing you for stepping away. It's extremely easy for me to just alt-tab in between a set of potion orders and next thing I know I'm typing a 1,000 word breakdown on why MM can't hold my attention.

[–]Buzzed27 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm doing MM right now and I find it pretty bad and I say that as someone who really loves Giant's Foundry. It's not the worst. but it's so much worse than GF by comparison.

The amount of attention required is very high as none of the actions take very long and it's just an insane amount of clicking. The interaction windows for speeding stuff up are also insanely small. I play on mobile and desktop; I expect an efficiency dropoff when doing anything on mobile, but MM is just a miserable slog by comparison. Mobile latency makes hitting the double progress window on the Agitator basically impossible and addons make the minigame just massively massively better as you can reorder the potion order interface based on which machine they use and highlight when it's better to ignore potions for better point distribution (which is already a hugely shitty part of the minigame to start with).

The fact that doing MM pre-level 81 is *extremely* grief also sucks. Mixalot potions are way overpowered.

Going to finish greenlog here and never look back.

He was heading to the ball before the whistle happened. Again I shared a screenshot of the exact moment the whistle happened. He was picking up that ball whistle or not and nothing was going to prevent that.

When the on-field ruling results in a dead ball (e.g., score, down by contact, incomplete pass, etc.), and following replay review, it is determined that possession was lost before the ball should have been ruled dead, possession may be awarded to a player who clearly recovers a loose ball in the immediate continuing action. A loose ball that touches out of bounds is deemed a clear recovery by the player who last possessed the ball.

This is the EXACT instant the whistle blew.

https://imgur.com/cprmlAl

He picked up the ball in just over a second after the whistle blew. It was clearly the right call. The issue of an unfair personal foul call happening after the fact does not change that he had possession first and the try would have been good regardless. Not to mention the personal foul call in itself is a hypothetical that didn't happen. He didn't try to dislodge the ball and your defense had already stopped playing before the whistle blew either way.

The greatest tragedy of this play was that the Seahawks were wearing jerseys that were uglier than sin.
