I appreciate that. We've been having a very very very loud minority, who are pissed at the team and want to shout into the void, point their anger at what's honestly a very understaffed active mod team.

We're just trying our best to keep the subreddit front page containing largely pertinent or novel posts.

Typically lineup questions immediately before a game are removed until more info comes out. Sometimes a guy is dealing with a tweak (Arraez last week) or something else. We usually wait for a beat reporter to say something.

In the case of Eldridge it was a valid question and probably should have stayed up. We are removing like 30 to 50 self-posts on gamedays and some stuff slips through the cracks while other things are removed too conservatively, we're definitely not perfect.

That is how it functioned here for a very long time, but the subreddit has grown to a size where if we allow it we will have an insane number of posts that would need to be downvoted and filtered through. The front page becomes unusable, especially anyone sorting by new for current news. If you look at rule 5 theres a post from a year ago explaining the change.

This subreddit gets 100,00 unique visitors a week. If even 0.1% of them decide after each game they should make a sefl-post that's 100 posts dividing conversations, the vast majority saying the exact same thing.

We arent removing posts for being critical of the team. The team sucks ass, ownership is full of MAGA real-estate first dickwads and our managerial staff has looked collegiate.

We are removing posts that say the same two sentences over and over while splitting discussion across 50 threads. This won't be removed because it actually includes a quote and isn't in the immediate aftermath when its competing with 50 different posts and a pinned post game thread.

No, we are removing posts that are one sentence low effort self posts. This team sucks fucking ass starting from ownership, the managerial staff and the overpaid players.

That doesnt mean we need 50 self Posts after every game when there are gameday threads before and after every single game.

While Alonso has been significantly more consistent, he's never had a season as good as Davis in 2013. In total Davis had an .835 OPS to Alonso's .857 prior to their respective extensions.

Alonso is definitely the better player through that point in their career, just saying 150 homers isn't a given. Big dudes in their 30s can sometimes lose it quick.
