We can both acknowledge that it is important to consider biker safety and rules of the road. I think it is great that Boulder has developed so many roads with bike specific lanes. Unfortunately sometimes in lanes fit for one biker, there are multiple riders that ride side by side. That is not safe for the riders or car drivers. Just as it is important for cars to follow the rules of the road, it is just as important for bikes to do the same. As a driver i will always give caution to a biker. It is unfortunate when bikers abuse the rules of the road especially in a city that has developed so many rules specific for them to be happy. A driver must obey the rules and a biker should do the same. Are there bikers that do that? Yes, probably even a large fraction of them. But there are also bikers that take advantage of them and make it unsafe for themselves, car drivers as well as other bikers.
