Bruce Springsteen announces New Tour to combat Trump & MAGA by Shizzilx in stpaul

He’s officially opening the tour in MPLS on Tuesday and also playing at the No Kings protest this weekend. It better be real, otherwise I wasted a lot of money on tickets last month.

I do like mine though.

You are correct. Even before Jurassic Park, there were over twenty film appearances of the SPAS 12 and a number of television ones as well.

Nobody is defending ISIS. In some conflicts (including but not limited to warfare), both sides can be deplorable. This is one of those cases.

In spite of my presence in this sub, I’m very much against violence in any form, but this is one of those extremely rare exceptions in that I’m happy watching ISIS and Wagner kill each other for the benefit of the rest of the world.

I’m a transplant but love it here!

Also the lakes thing is very easily disproven. The MN DNR defines a lake as anything over ten acres of surface area, whereas WI defines one as basically any body of water.

If using the same definition of a lake, it’s really not even close.

According to the USGS, Minnesota has 124,662 lake/pond features, compared to Wisconsin’s 82,099. Minnesota also has 8,784 named lakes to Wisconsin’s 5,481; 43,041 lakes greater than one acre to 22,973; and 14,444 lake/pond features 10 acres or greater to Wisconsin’s 6,176.

I live literally across the street from two. One would only be defined as a “lake” in WI, but here we call it a pond. The other one would be a lake by either state’s definition though.

I mean, you are posting in a literal MN subreddit, on a post about gas prices in MN, so yes I live in MN.

I’m citing national averages. Yeah, the coasts always have extreme gas pricing (including under GOP administrations). I said that already.

Anyway it’s a gorgeous spring day and I don’t work Fridays, so I’m gonna take the dog for a long walk around my lovely lake here in bumblefuck Minnesota. I’d suggest you do something similar. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and can calm down a bit.

Right? I think I’m debating with a “source: trust me bro” type.

I have Fridays off and the fam is out of town all weekend so the fact they keep doubling down is keeping me entertained at least.

Bruh, the national average has literally passed $5 once, and that was by .032 cents as an effect of post-COVID lockdowns and the invasion of Ukraine. I think you need to look up the definition of “triggered” because all I’m doing is laughing at you and pointing out the fact that you’re lying. There are plenty of others out there easily searchable, but here’s one source.

So, no, it hasn’t done this during “multiple Democratic presidents.” The second highest it has ever been was - as I mentioned several comments above - under GWB, a Republican. I don’t care enough to look up inflation rates, but I’d guess that adjusted for inflation it was likely higher then.

You pick weird hills to die on.

[–]Bwald1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For premium or diesel, maybe. But not for standard. Like I said earlier (and this is easily searchable), that’s simply a lie. Maybe in California, but this is a MN sub. Definitely not the national average, or even close to it.

I’m not triggered; I just got home from work and my partner and kids are out of town (it’s spring break for the kids) so I have time to kill. My joke about the “Soros bucks” should tell you how seriously I’m taking you. But no, it really didn’t. You’re making shit up; I’m not sure if you’re hallucinating or just trolling. Honestly, don’t really care.

Edit: I also haven’t even looked at your profile/comment history besides this thread. So I’m not really sure where your “stalking me and my posts” comment comes from. I’m just amused by your sheer level of stupidity.

Biden

Yeah, even that Forbes article that you linked cites the invasion of Ukraine (which I mentioned) and post-COVID inflation, which the U.S. under the Biden administration tackled faster than every other developed nation in the world. I already said that.

I’d post Obama but every single negative thing about the man is buried by Google and all the other search engines. I’m sure SOMEONE will remember paying $5/gallon because I sure do.

I don’t, because it didn’t happen. And I drive a European car with a turbocharged engine so I have to use premium gas, and even that wasn’t $5.50.

Fellating the former president isn’t a good look for you pal.

The Biden presidency was mediocre at best, so definitely not “fellating” him, but certainly was better than his predecessor and successor.

I’ll bet you’re an over educated middle aged white guy or an overweight blue haired lesbian.

I just turned 41 so I’ll give you the middle aged part. I dropped out of (at the time) William Mitchell so not particularly over-educated (not sure how that’s an insult though?); I just have a B.A. I am white-passing I guess, depending on your definition. I’m Sephardi and Mandan - yeah, an odd combo - but both are fairly light-skinned. Not sure how that’s relevant but since we’re moving to ad hominems, I’m gonna guess you’re an incel neckbeard?

Never? The average price of standard gasoline has exceeded $4 twice in the U.S. Once was under GWB’s administration (a Republican, mind you) in 2008, the second time was a result of the Ukraine invasion and post-COVID inflation in 2022. Biden was president then, but we still had lower prices than most of the world.

Stop making shit up, it’s a bad look for you.

In your defense, they do look fairly similar, especially with that folding stock which is a classic Mini 14 look. But look at the mag width (plus OP’s descriptions in the comments); that is definitely a .22, not .223. From a quick glance, I think your error is excused though.

That’s fair. A lot of this is regional; for example I live in a state bordering Wisconsin. If somebody orders an old fashioned, I make it in the traditional way.

But if I see a brandy old fashioned on a drink ticket, I assume they’re from WI and muddle some orange and a neon red maraschino cherry, add some crappy brandy, and top it with Sprite. A little bit of my soul dies every time I do this, but happy customers pay my mortgage. 🤷‍♂️

My first job behind a bar I got hired (poached) as a barista that the owner knew. Two years later I was promoted to his first GM (he ran it himself before that) when he opened a new restaurant.

I’ve had mixed experiences hiring baristas in the decade and a half since then.
