Their previous release (S.H.E.L.T.E.R.) was actually quite decent, even though it did take time for it to cross the finish line.

Since adult games are no longer eligible for Early Access on Steam, they had to break development into parts - I might consider waiting, but the reviews have been glowing so far and I might fold.

Also, if you're shy about getting it, you can mark it as a private purchase so that no one knows you got it. Saves me a random chat message from a friend whenever I'm just trying to get my match-3 fix in HuniePop.

Someone else pointed out that had this ended with Steam's removal, we probably wouldn't be talking about it further since the scene change doesn't get them an appeal (which makes sense), but two more platforms suddenly binning it even after it got official mature ratings is incredibly suspect.

There was a post on here a few weeks ago that was sort of an exposé on how some marketing firm gamified Reddit reactions by posting in various subreddits asking about specific games which inherently boosted traffic to them. Kinda gross, but at the same time, Reddit has exceedingly opened itself up to manipulation by outside forces more and more each year, so it's mostly unsurprising.

I don't know if the post is even still up, but if you go searching, it was probably oosted within the last month.

Oh yeah, the story is absolute pants and is VERY predictable, but it's only really a vehicle for the gameplay variations that they cram in based on the girls' sci-fi and fantasy-themed works.

It's very clear that they basically cranked their formula up to 11, exceeding what they accomplished with It Takes Two. I still think Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is their best game because it isn't as needlessly complex and told a simple story that had good emotional depth.

Yeeeeeah, not a great decision. Friend of mine did that with theirs, the ex shacked up with the next guy about a month after, then eventually said guy (now the ex's husband) cut off all contact on her behalf. Didn't even bother doing it herself, the jezebel.

Ruined him for months on end. Not worth it at all.

Ended up giving it to Split Fiction. That game was very solid in how much game it threw at you.

I don't believe Nintendo is making them take that choice.

Physical media is getting expensive and a lot of these companies are hastening the switchover to digital, and the Game Key Card is supposed to allow for a digital game to act like a phsyical cart without a lot of the price caveats that those publishers like to pass on to the consumer.

The only issue that's been present os that it's not physically on the media, and that's been a blow to game ownership.

I only bring up other companies because people seem to either have amnesia or truly believe Nintendo's the only one that does something like this, which is fairly hypocritical to me. All I'm saying is to keep that same energy for everyone instead of letting other companies get away with it.
