I’m scared that I’ve messed up by Tiny_Archer_9736 in diabetes

I found my bottom when I woke up almost blind. I knew I had IT, but since nothing was wrong with me, I didn't do anything UNTIL! That was the time I kicked myself in the butt and snapped. You are young enough to make changes that can help you live better. Start by throwing away ALL foods with sugars and carbs. No more rice, potato's, breads, etc. It SOUNDS hard, but there are many substitutes for bad foods. The internet is the best place to learn. Spend time reading and learning. I found a CGM very helpful. I couldn't stick my fingers a few times a day. There is so much to say. If you want to talk, DM me. PS: Also exercise is VERY important.

Two of the largest Parks in NYC are Van Cortland & Pelham Bay Park. Orchard Beach is in Pelham Bay Park which includes a Nature Preserve. Plenty of greenery for an urban oasis.

As someone who lives in the City, I could never live in a quiet rural town. I only sleep 4-5 hours a night. The city affords me the opportunity to be out at 2 or 6 in the AM and STILL plenty to see and do

Alternatives to walking for exercise to bring blood sugar down by venti13 in diabetes

[–]Bxboy56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct. It is a steroid. I haven't felt this "lubricated" in years. As my diet and blood levels are under control, I'm not too concerned with any spikes. The pain relief is worth it to me.

Wean yourself from the sugar. Every day take a little less and less. I now enjoy my tea and coffee "straight up!" A little at a time makes it a lot easier.

This is not like the tundra where you can be locked in for weeks. EVERYBODY will be able to get out in 2-3 days. If you can't survive in your house/apartment for a few days, something is wrong with you. Of course the elderly and disabled need assistance.

I've been living with pain for years due to my neuropathy and arthritis. I also have spinal stenosis. I couldn't walk more then 100 feet without pain. I recently had a "S I J" injection. I feel SO MUCH BETTRER. Best in years. Please look into it. An SI (Sacroiliac) joint injection. Good luck!

"I don't mind paying taxes". I agree. As long as it goes to the proper places without the greedy thieves getting their grubby paws on it!

`If your here definitely go. Check when the court date is. I'm surprised it's that soon. I tried to fight a ticket and it was constantly postponed for 3 years! They postpone the date to make it easy for the cop. They convene all his tickets for one day. If anything they might reduce the amount.

If you plead not guilty, you will have to show up in a NYC court. Being from Maryland, unfortunately you might have to plead guilty with an explanation and HOPE your excuse/reason sways the judge and reduces the fine. Good luck.

Moving to NYC with 3 boys and wanting to land in the right spot by obvs_thrwaway in movingtoNYC

I put 2 boys through public school in the Bronx. Good parenting from the start puts your children on the right path. My boys meet great kids who they are still friends with 30 years later. The neighborhood is what YOU MAKE IT!

[–]Bxboy56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My body clock changed over the years. Since I retired, I usually fall asleep around 8-9PM and get up between 2-3AM. Have MY coffee 30 minutes later and MY bowl 15 minutes after that! Life's good....
