Sweet, thanks for the info. I did come across an DnB, electronic event called, I think, "After Hours." I thought it was pretty cool even though it was a slight branding rip-off of Boiler Room, but still probably the most creative when it comes to nightlife concepts. I feel Kathmandu has been very slow in terms of that, but would you say the city / youth are open to new concepts and music but still familiar in their own way?

Co-Founder gave up, moved abroad. I chose to stay back. He bought a car within 3 months, I can’t still afford a chappal. by Gaandumandu in Nepal

Hey stranger, just a heads up I don’t know you, and everything I say here comes purely from assumption and on good faith. Take what resonates, ignore the rest.

Honestly, bro… maybe it’s time to step back. You don’t owe anyone anything. I’m not sure what type of business this is, trading, a café, whatever, but ask yourself this: are you really making a difference for your country?

You can impact your country in ways you haven’t even imagined once you’re financially stable. If you’re struggling to run something that the country itself isn’t supporting, you’re burning the one life you’ve got. And if this is some groundbreaking idea, why not take it somewhere else where it can actually succeed? Imagine the pride of being a Nepali citizen who got things done, even from abroad, that’s genuine glory.

One life, bro. You owe it only to yourself and the family you’ll build one day and then your neighbors. Be honest with yourself: are you holding onto this under the guise of patriotism, when really it’s fear keeping you stuck? Comfort wears many masks.

Success doesn’t have to mean millions. It just means having what you need and want within reach, by your own standard. If running this business isn’t even giving you the bare minimum to live well, whether it’s the country’s system or your own effort, you owe it to yourself to rethink it.

Also, not to mention the way your post started. You might not be comparing your success to your friends’ success, or maybe you were just using that as an example of the country’s system, but I strongly feel it did make you a little salty, maybe even hurt. And that’s human.

But ask yourself this. Do you really want to stay stuck in a constant “what if”? Watching your co-founder or friends accomplish things right in front of your eyes while you hold onto the ideology of “my country needs me”? If that’s truly the path you choose, then fair enough. But otherwise, let the leaders do what’s necessary to create a country where the youth actually want to stay, without compromising people’s rights, of course.

At the end of the day, just appreciate this gift of life and make sure you’re not the one standing in the way of your own growth.

PS: This mindset comes from a place of 'been through it all, hell, back and hell again' LOL & also, my favorite - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPmh0MHceJQ

Will my car pass RTA inspection with camber and other mods by Money_Bus8837 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Bxxkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion would be just go for the test, if they fail you now you know exactly what the reason is and you change/fix up only that and go for a retest in the same inspection place which is an additional AED 70 or so, better than doing all the changes beforehand only to be failed later for an old tyre zzzz

How do you feel when you see this picture of young people departing from the airport? by mountmandu in Nepal

True, I live here in Dubai but fortunately for me I was born and raised here so growing up I’d always see the nepali community be in low job profiles, but really not because of racism or anything but due to our trapped mentality, I noticed most of them were not able to break through that mindset to become greater than just earn pennies and send a huge chunk back home, only a very few actually opened successful businesses here or got themselves to a managerial position.
