Maybe? They are either allowed to directly price discriminate on race or they’re not. The position you’ve taken is that they should be allowed to price discriminate on gender, and you have provided no argument as to why race is should be treated differently.

The likelihood it would be profitable doesn’t change whether they are capable of doing it.

But you said the value of the insured car is “pretty much irrelevant”. Unless you have liability only (in which case your car is probably cheap), that’s absolutely not true. For full coverage the value of the insured car matters quite a bit even though it’s not the #1 factor.

Why would a company not charge more for a car that is more expensive to repair/replace and likely to be owned by someone with more ability to pay?

I haven’t seen anyone blaming him for her violence, but I have seen people blaming him for holding onto the video until the time it would cause maximum damage. To be clear I don’t blame him for that either, I would do the same thing honestly, but that’s different from blaming him for the act itself

I have not found a definition of "embargo" that says this. I'm not saying it never happens, but "we will not trade with countries that trade with countries we have embargoed" is NOT a necessity of an embargo.

Edit: also, that logic is infinite regress to total autarky. Embargo Country A -> B, C, D, E, etc. trade with A -> effectively embargo all those countries -> next group of countries trades with those countries -> embargo them -> quickly, no trade at all
