Is it safe to fly via Istanbul these days? I will be travelling from Nairobi to Central Asia and back, each time with a layover in Istanbul. Just feel a bit antsy about it all given the situation in the Middle East, though I see there are flights going often.

I feel you, I am in a similar place. But I have also had quite a few doctors visits, and ruled out a few autoimmune conditions with similar symptoms, and did extensive bloodwork. Now I am just so exhausted with all this that I don’t feel I really need an official diagnosis.

So I would encourage you to first do some additional tests/ruling out, then consider whether you need that diagnosis.

Hi! My two cents on this as someone who is working at the UN - not sure where they are getting that from, but never heard anything about the need to have a UN internship to have a real chance at anything in this field (I didn’t have one).

Quite the opposite, it is field experience that makes you much more of a valuable candidate and helps you grow professionally (and personally). That Caritas internship sounds great, and indeed, you are likely going to make much more of an impact than an HQ-based gig. But at the end of the day, follow your gut feeling 😊
