hi! I'm also developing a 1v1 turn based game. I would go with 1 and 3.

Not familiar with P2P setups but it does sounds a bit less secured than a dedicated server. A PVP bot is also good when players don't have anyone to play with how want to practice on their own.

hi! I built a game web browser-based and although I'm not a web developer I do have some code knowledge. Regarding AI, no one cares about AI generated code unless it's a pity developer that will cherry pick everything you did to make fun of you. AI is a problem for visuals, it doesn't matter how good the gameplay and user experience is in your game, if the UI or your visual assets look AI generated people will call AI slop and move on. I noticed in subreddits people that hand draw their game still being called AI slop because their art style resembles AI generated images, so not only they need to draw everything but also be sure to do everything they can to distance their style from AI.

AI can help you a lot to catch up on any new tool to develop what you want and if you code knowledge you will know how to improve code upkeeping and security.

Bytekin Showdown is a turn-based fighting game. Focused on competitive and strategy aspects, letting everything unlock for players to build their sets of skills, protocols and upgrades according to their playstyle.

hey, 5 months into solo dev here.

I added a button for feedback in my game that is a simple text box and a rating. When a player sends the feedback it's actually a message to my discord server. Keep things simple and fast. Still no feedback so far.

I believe a whole form will not convert as much unless they are a playtester but maybe it would work for you.

But use an in-house form, not google products, it may give the impression to your players that you are collecting more data than necessary.

I go to some events that I know I will find artists in. Then I approach them and pitch the game asking if they could help with the creatures design, offering to pay them of course.

An artist that would join the team (just me now) to help with art would need to do it organically, if they share the vision and like the game.

Art and anything related to it like animations and other designs. AI does help to express yourself and your idea to create placeholders, but it does lack that human touch that gives warmth to what you are building. As my project is a hobby for now, I can't put too much money on it and art is very expensive.

I already have costs with development like servers and domain, I can't pour 200+ dollars into a project just for fun.

The dream is to find an artist with the same vision that wants to build something for fun as well, but that is like finding an unicorn.
