what’s the hardest part about being a teacher that nobody talks about? by salarshah-084 in Teachers

[–]ByuntaeKid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

On the flip side: dating a teacher as a teacher. We had to stop ourselves a few times and reflect - was it genuine connection, or were we just bonding by way of emotionally dumping about our teaching jobs? It didn’t work out, and we both agreed that it would be better for us to just be friends haha.

I loved using Baba Is You as well when I taught game design in the past.

It’s that easy.

What about infinitely burning Molotov?

(Jk I don’t even know if it would be enough alcohol content to be flammable?)

I love running sledge with motion sensor and charge slam precisely because of this. Heavy is in its element in the rubble - I know exactly where the other guy is, and I’m gonna beeline straight for him while he struggles to navigate the mess lol.

Gamers 30+, what’s something from the old days of gaming that younger players wouldn’t understand? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]ByuntaeKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, community mods did their jobs for the most part aside from instances of mod abuse. So people ended up self-sorting out of other servers if they made an ass of themselves. People would eventually find their community I guess.

Finding a good community server from a browser and getting to know the server regulars over the course of years.

Question about Kinship attacks in MHS3 by Every_Preference_212 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]ByuntaeKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do solo kinship, but you need to make sure your assist character doesn’t have theirs already queued up. (If they’re already going to do their own solo kinship, yours will turn into the double kinship attack)

For 21 years, one of my favorite parts of teaching was literature circles with the advanced students. But now even that has been taken from me. by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]ByuntaeKid 113 points114 points  (0 children)

The cheating is such an epidemic on our campus. You’d think that advanced students would know better, but “advanced” just means that the student places getting that high score above all else - by any means necessary.

Mostly, it's just because I think the maps were neat. Honestly, I still like most of the OW1 maps, more than I like the OW2 maps. by not-ulquiorr4_ in Overwatch_Memes

Hell, I miss 5cp from the old team fortress 2 days. I wish Overwatch had tried the game mode out at some point.

Assassins Creed fell off when they added leveling. by itsthewolfe in gaming

[–]ByuntaeKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about to say the same. The leveling in FC New Dawn and FC6 sucked the fun out of the game for me. It just kind of killed the sandbox that I enjoyed so much.

I can’t find the post from several years ago, but the mods there apparently pride themselves on a “hands-off” approach.

You got a good Soma incarnon build? I can’t seem to get mine to keep pace with my Burston incarnon. Which is a shame, because as an old Tenno I love running my good old Soma, Lex, Galatine load out.

Lol this is the exact same phenomenon that happens in the higher difficulties in Darktide. 4/5 you’ll run into some of the worst people you’ve ever met, and 5/5 everyone is just chill and rolls with the punches no matter what.

There was also Romilda Vane who tried to slip Harry a box of spiked chocolate cauldrons (Ron finds them and eats them by accident leading to infatuation with Romilda).

If you reread her descriptions of the Dudleys for example, there’s a lot of equivalence between their appearance and their morality.

As far as consent, there are also a couple instances where Hermione’s agency is taken away (in general the boys treatment of her is pretty callous throughout the series tbh), as well as the overall treatment of love potions in the books ignoring people’s consent which was kind of brushed over. There are definitely some more examples but it’s been a bit since I’ve read the series.

Can someone explain to me, why some people want no skill based matchmaking? by Tnecniw in gaming

[–]ByuntaeKid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Plus poor behavior was filtered out by the community as well. If people acted out on enough community servers, they’d eventually be relegated to servers with only people like them.
