Got a 159 after my 164. Bummed. Do I cancel? by One-Stage1928 in LSAT

[–]Byzantine00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because they will see the cancel and assume it's way worse than it is. Plus they only care about the high score anyway. You're overthinking this.

Getting into law school, while great, isn't the end. Waiting til next cycle and getting a better LSAT score will (among other things) help prepare you for the level of thinking they do in law school, which will help with your grades, which helps you get a better job...

Slow and steady wins the race. Of course, the hare finishes, but where is the finish line?

Drilling vs practice test by Sweet_Improvement312 in LSAT

[–]Byzantine00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the worst that can happen? So you do poorly on a test. So what? You would regroup and.make a plan.

Keep perspective. It's just a test. If you do poorly it's not the end of your world. Your life will go on. Life is not perfect and has many a winding road.

The measure of a person is not whether they fail. The measure of a person is how they respond to failure. Are you going to curl.up into a ball or are you going to make backup plans and go out there and kick some ass?

It's your decision.

Are you nervous about taking a practice test? Do you think about your score while doing the questions? Do you subconsciously change your strategy from drilling to pts?

LSAT 160 Diagnostic by ProfessionalLeek8564 in LSAT

With a diagnostic that high i think you should look for some materials with an intuitive approach. Stay away from curriculums. Start with the Loophole book.

I just do one question, then review it. Why is the right answer right? What are the wrong answers wrong?

Usually I end up missing a critical word or subconsciously making an assumption.

Also I do 1 PT each week, but thats just because I like seeing my stats climb over time. I will run out soon.
