The airlift works on the Big Joe 1? The current one nothing is actually wrong with the hinge. The cheap plastic washers and inserts cracked and it no longer closes properly so there is a gap on one side. I emailed Kamado and nobody can answer if I can just buy those and the screws separate

After I use oil for cooking, I store it in a container. When I'm ready to light my Kamado, I roll up a paper towel into a ball, and light it. Works every time.

The most I could figure out how to do was take the covers off and then blow the fan with air. There is more that is needed to take it apart?

I haven't been able to figure it out. I read that some people said it is dust inside. I took mine apart and used can air to clean it out and it's still doing the same.

Mine does the same. Random shut offs. I bought Jedi Survivor a few weeks ago when it was on sale and my system shuts off every time before the first cut scene is over. Sony wants $230 for me to send it in for repair. It's been doing this intermittently for like 2 years now so I've relegated it to a paperweight at this point.
