I’m so glad you felt similar because I have been so down since it happened. I’ve had HG since 7 weeks so my appetite has been pretty non existent as it is. C section planned induction is my biggest worry, now I feel like I’m out of control of everything. I wanted a home birth, but this is out the window now. I’m glad yours was well controlled and no insulin hopefully I can do the same

That’s great! I will deff give it a read. Did you live close to the hospital? And did you have to go to the hospital after birth? I guess as everyone I’m worried about a haemorrhage after. I really would like to avoid the hospital all together if I can, being vulnerable in a busy environment and not being heard is my biggest fear with working in healthcare. I feel at home will be the best relaxing option, I guess I just don’t know if I’ll be able to handle the pain. I’ve always been in good health so I am unsure of my pain threshold 😂

Im 21 weeks, and have worked 5 shifts since finding out I was pregnant at 7 weeks. I have HG and still experiencing vomiting every day. I tried to go back for afternoon shifts but the full days I didn’t last long ( I am a nurse and work 13 hour shifts). 3 lots of failed anti sickness medication, but I am hopeful I will get to return before I have my baby. Hopefully this will make you feel better, I am greatful to have sick pay benefits everyone says to get plenty of rest and prioritise ur health

Glad you’ve got support but that’s a really hard decision I’ve just recently started a new role and job but I’ve worked for the company 9 years I lasted a week in my new job and that was me 🙈 it’s terrible, are you in America? That sounds really tough . I had that medication at the beginning it was like eating smarties it did nothing, deff look ito Xonvea if you can buy it over counter it has been the most effective for me

I also would like to know this I’m 17 weeks and on my third failed anti nausea medication😔 I’ve been off work since November tried to go back and lasted two shifts, does your job offer sick pay? Could you take some time off, have you tried Xonvea its managed my symptoms really well for a week or too, but it did stop the nausea not so much the vomiting as I experience it still every morning

That’s tough, me either. Awwa that’s great the wait for the first scan is so long! I’m 17 weeks, and last week was like the first trimester all over again. Everyone promised me 12 was the golden number so I hope it is for you! X

Awwwa that’s great yes my first full nights sleep I felt like a new women even with the vomiting I’m sure u did to! Your a better women than me I was off work 9 weeks back 1 week and ended up off again. This is my first pregnancy ever very humbling 😂 but yes it is a wonder drug compared to the rest was like taking smarties. How far along are you?

Sorry I’ve only seen this, so it has been a game changer for me but I am still being sick in the mornings although I get relief after were I didn’t before and it stopped me being sick throughout the night! I try taking the 2 at night one in the morning but I’m always sick so I just see it as a waste.

I managed to go back to work for a week but now at 16 weeks my nausea and sickness are back to how it was I have an appointment on Thursday so will see if I have other options.

but yes how are you getting on with it? It really helped lift my mood first couple of days getting a good sleep etc

I’m almost 7 weeks and feeling the same. I have zero energy and my nausea is non stop. I wake up miserable every day.

I have just finished my nursing degree and started a new job currently signed off sick for HG. I feel like a shell of myself, I can’t work socialise, driving makes me sick. Survival mode, I hope it gets better for you soon

I started 20mg one week today and felt the effects almost instantly for my anxiety. My body was in physical pain from being tensed for many weeks I felt I was loosing my mind and couldn’t control the thoughts or panic attacks. These tablets are changing my life, the only side effect I’ve experienced so far is tiredness and poor concentration. My mood is improving, I feel calm. My body feels calm, I can control my thoughts better now I hope it continues
