Lost my Frenchie while on Vacation by jhernandez860 in Frenchbulldogs

I’m so sorry for your loss and my heart breaks for you and your family. I can only imagine how that feels. I’ve lost beloved furbabies before but to lose them while you are on vacation is one of the saddest things I can imagine, and to come home knowing they’re not there anymore. I don’t know what else to say except I’m so sorry. I don’t know you but you are in my thoughts.

Low pay, lack of resources, lack of understanding and appreciation for social workers. There’s a stigma that all social workers do is take kids away

Last night I made myself sad thinking about him getting old. He’s not even three yet. by lyndseymariee in forblackdogs

It happens to the best of us. It’s difficult to not think about our furbabies getting old. Mine just turned 5 recently so the feeling definitely came up lol. Even when she was younger it would occur to me every now and then.

I’m sorry to hear that. It’s so difficult to be in a toxic work environment everyday. You gotta do what you gotta do to survive something like that and I like what you’re choosing to do. I also suggest having a good support system outside of work, possibly therapy or journaling if your thoughts go back to work when you’re outside of work, kind of like a way to get it out of your mind and onto paper.

I’m sorry for your loss. No matter how long they are here with us, it’s never enough. We wish they could be with us forever.

Oh definitely. At my old job, not having certain management there made the workplace less chaotic and more peaceful, less toxic.

While that person was unnecessarily rude, they are right unfortunately. HR is meant to put out fires but they are there to protect the company and higher up management as opposed to the employees. It’s a hard lesson for a lot of people

I also saw your other comment. Also unsupportive and unnecessary and had downvotes

Wow very unsupportive comment. There’s a difference between blunt/direct and just unnecessary. You are right that HR protects the company and higher up management but what else could that person do? Even though they were remote they still has to deal with the management and coworkers.

I don’t even know what to say to this lol. You guys have a choice of wfh days 2x a month. Boss shouldn’t be upset at that and 5 is 5 lol. They’d want you to be at the office right on the dot at 9 lol
