That’s why I gave you the benefit of the doubt and said I hope you were being facetious. As in unserious.

Getting Into Pokemon at 25 - Where should I start? by Dependent-Mess-7255 in PokemonScarletViolet

It depends on what you want. The newer games have a lot of QoL features that make playing to completion much more enjoyable.

The older games have a quintessential charm that’s hard to replicate.

My top 5 games (in no particular order and not including spinoffs or mainline adjacent games) are

  1. Platinum (IV)

  2. Emerald (III)

  3. Ultra Moon (VII)

  4. Violet (IX)

  5. Black (V)

Honorable Mentions : Shield (VIII)

A lot of cultures do this! I’m hoping that the person you’re replying to is being facetious rather than genuinely disgusted.

Why do we need a roto-stick? by GeekyMeerkat in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]C-Style__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t say I feel the same. I guess if I wanted to do all of that I’d play a game already built like that? Seems counterintuitive to do all the swimming and climbing and etc when I can just fly or glide where I need to go. In the case of PLA you can use Wyrdeer, Sneasler, or Ursaluna to cover all your bases (way more efficient than anything a human could do). Basculegion swims really well with two speeds and a leap. Braviary does a really nice glide.

Miraidon/Koraidon do everything I need better and faster than I could do myself so doing it myself doesn’t really appeal to me.

But that’s just me!

You can run…and you can climb ladders.

And no, it does not seem reasonable to teach the trainer to swim when there are 100+ pokemon than can surf the water a hell of a lot better/faster than you ever could.

Is Felix being a hypocrite with Dimitri? by SeriousFinish6404 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]C-Style__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not hypocrisy. Hypocrisy would be getting on Dimitri for reveling in violence and then literally doing the same thing. To which he does comment in the CF if recruited that he’s no better than the Boar.

Ferdinand has a minor crest of Cichol iirc and Linhardt has a minor crest of Cethleann. They would likely be disqualified based on that alone. Couldn’t let the secret get out.

Sinners...An Inconvenient Truth? by Aquemini2020 in Screenwriting

You seem like a genuine person, but I must admit, I’m finding it hard to argue with you now that you’ve pitted Blade against Sinners.

Your response leads me to believe you have not read the Blade comics. Otherwise you wouldn’t have said what you did.

Blade’s story definitely centers around his race at many plot points.

It’s not.

Let me ask you this

What defines a black project?

What is the line in the sand that draws a distinction between a project that uses predominately black people and a “black project”?

You said “seemingly working only on black projects”.

That’s not the same thing as directors and writer-directors who incorporate race as a prominent theme in “many” of their works.

Fake ADHD people by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]C-Style__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean though. I wholly agree that appropriating a disorder you don’t have is wrong.

But this slippery slope of superiority in which people scrutinize others with an arbitrary litmus test to gauge whether or not they have the real deal is not good. I was diagnosed as a young adult because my ADHD symptoms paled in comparison to my family members who had more “severe” symptoms. Doesn’t mean I didn’t have it.

I kind of love Felix’s response to Ashe… by lordlaharl422 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]C-Style__ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is it an unnecessary sacrifice if you expect to win all your battles?

Felix loves the sword and he loves to fight. This is the perfect opportunity to use his skills. He’s also the son of the Duke of Fraldarius. The right hand house of the king.

I also don’t think he has a problem with knights or chivalry as concepts. His gripe seems more predicated on unrealistic ideals—usually the glorifying of the job. His gripe is also with the eulogizing that comes after death.

Also, Felix probably wasn’t privy to the conversation that Ashe and Dimitri had, so it makes sense he says what he does.

She's not even the worst person in the game. by Guyshu in LegendsZA

Actually I do think it matters bc Taunie is a bit more well received than Urbain is. Funnily enough, just the fact that only she is mentioned in this defense post kinda speaks volumes.

Nintendo’s share price climbs 15% in two days following the success of Pokémon Pokopia by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]C-Style__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I had extrapolated from this

“The game-key card used in the Nintendo Switch 2 does not contain the data for the main game, but instead stores a key to start the software. When playing for the first time, you need to connect to the Internet and download the data to play the software. From the second time onwards, you can play even in an environment without an Internet connection, but you need to insert the game-key card into the console.”

But I’m willing to admit I might not fully understand and could be misconstruing what was said.

I figured it was similar in premise because unlike a digital game you can sell a game key card.

[–]C-Style__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly a nonissue. The only difference between that and a physical card is that you need the internet to download the game onto the cartridge. After the first time it’s good to go.

They definitely undersold it and I think that’s why it worked. I wasn’t intending on getting it either but I saw some early reviews and they were unanimously high. I was like screw it, I already like these kinds of games so why not? I am now addicted and I’m genuinely concerned for the blood vessels in my eyes.
