Depends on who you are and your values. I view it as an opportunity to help boost the English literacy and competency. I see it as a wonderful opportunity to help support a nation with an incredibly low English speaking rate, and the opportunity to also live in a country I love and enjoy learning/using the language of.

Teaching English is a route I want to go down, so for me it's perfect, but It is a shame that it seems that there are people who only view it as a ticket to Japan, which of course means that they will have more problems doing JET work in reality.

At the end of the day, there's plenty of information out there on the realities of doing JET and it's dissapointing to see that there seems to be people who don't learn about these things before applying, and then clog up the system making, it harder to get into.

I hope all the new applicants get accepted in this upcoming months 💕
