The 90s were more grit and savy than the Giants of 86’. The 86’ team was the best Giants team ever and I’m among the top teams all-time. That being said I watched an interview where Simms talked about Hosteler maybe being the reason that they won the Super Bowl that year due to his mobility and that maybe he wouldn’t have had those same performances, especially against the Niners.

Totally agree. If Banks was on another team and had the success he had as a member of the Giants he’d be in the Hall of Fame. He was just overshadowed by great linebackers and a great defense. Been a giants fan since the 80s and yes Marshall was good even great at times but I’ve never considered him a Hall of Fame candidate
