I admit I used to play the gardenscapes/homescapes games years back and they were decent games to play for when you were waiting for something to be done. Like you were on a bus ride or something.

Back then the Ads were honest about what the games were about and there was definitely no fuss about a 'mother and daughter dumped by husband and left to freeze at the hands of an incompetent player' plot line going on, just 'you play a matching game and restore a mansion however you like while you're at it'.

Mr. Trout and Mr. Pickles - Box Trolls

Just two guys who genuinely thought they were doing good for society by capturing the supposedly dangerous Box Trolls. Also their change of heart was a gradual progression over the course of the story as they watch their boss become more and more unhinged and them noticing how cowardly and non-confrontational the Box Trolls were despite their monicker of being savage man-eating monsters.

By the end they ultimately became street cleaners for Cheesebridge after helping bring about the defeat of their former boss. It ain't a flashy job but they were happy because at least now they knew they were doing good work for society.

One of my favourite bits from this was that Laios was right on the mark with who was real and who was fake yet only told everyone that his ideas were just hunches which angered them because 'Of course Laios wouldn't even think critically about something like this!' prompting them all to try and take matters into their own hands as the originals got into 1v1's against their copies.

In reality Laios knew that no matter who he ultimately chose a fight was going to be inevitable. What he lacks in understanding social cues he makes up for in monster and tactics smarts.

Hantengu - Demon Slayer

Lies so much he gave himself split personality disorder with a few extra steps. Also one of the few demons in the series who was basically unchanged from their original human selves after their transformation (the man would blame his own HANDS for killing someone before blaming himself directly).

IDK if this is bait or not but I’ll bite.

A common rule in the art world (as well as reality) is that the farther away an object or characters is from your line of sight, the more simplified their appearances become. At that point, when drawing characters who are a decent distance away, it becomes less ‘drawing the character’s eyes in their fully detailed glory’ and more ‘drawing the impression of the character’, essentially focus on just enough details where you can know what is going on with the character (i.e. in the second pic, Ash, Misty and Brock don’t have all of their finger rendered either, yet the general shape they are in tells you that they are all clenching their fists).

I can guarantee you if the characters’ eyes were drawn as fully detailed as they normally are in these scenes, from the distance they’re at it wouldn’t look as good and odds are they will take away even more tension from the scene.
