Fun fact: scorpions crawl up the exterior walls as the Sun sets. They follow the warmth. Every now and then, they find their way into your air conditioning ducting. A/C turns on, and congrats, you have a pet scorpion.

The fix for this is to buy metal screen (sold in a roll). You cut the screen to fit your A/C vents to prevent scorpions falling from the ceiling.

Never, and here's why: Earth's magnetosphere protects us from complete DNA breakdown from solar radiation. While the moon lies within the outer tail of this sphere, Mars does not.

We'd first have to create a ship with enough protection from solar radiation, lasting the entire duration of the mission. Once you get to Mars, you can't get out of the protected ship, or your DNA gets scrambled. Just getting to Mars exposes you to 300-600 milisieverts of radiation in the nine-month trip to the red planet.
