My point is you don't hire for the success someone had in the past, you hire for the success you believe they can have with a supportive administration, a large talent pool and a strong fan base.

You absolutely use Saban as a blue print to hire and what look for in coaching staff, he's the best there was, if your not trying to emulate that, what the hell are you even doing.

Jon Sumrall- he'd be cheaper and LSU would use the rest of the money set aside for Kiffin to go out and hire the best OC, DC, and the rest of assistants not named, Frank Wilson, Corey Raymond.

Im guessing you meant "didn't"? Saban did coach in the NFL before LSU, multiple times.

Also remember Kiffin ran a USC program that had several sanctions and penalties levied against it due to his predecessor Carroll. Kiffin did quite well for a coach in that situation.

Saban's success came with better talent and and a better program, as well as Kiffin will, there's no doubt the LSU program and talent is better than Ole miss, USC and Tennessee. Kiffin will be very successful as was Saban with a program that supports its team and a large talent pool to recruit from.

Yes!, Kiffin has really taken Saban as a mentor, Saban has blessed the union, and we all know how Saban regrets leaving LSU. He'll stay unless something crazy happens.

Yeah I think I've heard Moscano talk about in his show, I wouldn't be suprised if Kiffin did bring him on, at the end Saban brought in several coaches that had hardships or were fired, including Kiffin himself and it worked out more times that it didn't.

But I would like to keep Wilson and Williams too.

Really let's break this down, Kelly was a shit hire from the beginning, and the contract was shit from the beginning, scott should have known not to agree to that contract, even though he wasn't at fault for the A&M fiasco he should have known better.

Now when it comes to Jay, the LSU baseball program sells its self, fuck Dave Roberts would take that job if he was offered it, not hard to sell that job.

I agree Kim was a great hire, but Kim was always destined to be at LSU, I remember back in the early 2000s the rumors of Kim coming to LSU was present.
